Christer Gardell
Christer Gardell (born 1960) is a Swedish hedge fund manager. Gardell studied business at Stockholm School of Economics and graduated in the year 1984, worked at McKinsey & Company and was appointed CEO of Swedish investment company AB Custos in 1996, where he stayed until 2001. In 2002, he co-founded (with Lars Förberg) the investment firm Amaranth Capital, which in 2003 changed its name to Cevian Capital. The firm uses an "active ownership" or "activist" investment strategy. In 2006, Cevian launched Cevian Capital II, the largest dedicated active ownership fund in Europe with more than €10 billion of aum as of April 2017. This fund holds major investments in several companies on the Stockholm Stock Exchange, including Volvo. Past investments have included Lindex, Skandia, and TeliaSonera. Christer Pettersson
Carl Gustaf Christer Pettersson (23 April 1947 – 29 September 2004) was a Swedish criminal who was a suspect in the 1986 assassination of Olof Palme, the Prime Minister of Sweden. In 1989 he was convicted of the murder in district court but acquitted on appeal the following year. Early life Pettersson was born on 23 April 1947, to Roland Pettersson (1916–1977) and Inga Maria Hansson (1918–1973) and grew up in a middle-class family in Solna outside of Stockholm and later moved to the suburb of Sollentuna. In his youth, he attended a theatrical school (''Calle Flygares teaterskola''), where he was considered to be promising by at least one of his teachers. However, Pettersson suffered a head injury from which he would never fully recover. Petterson then began a period of substance abuse, which would eventually force him to drop out of school. Christer Lennart Olsson (born July 24, 1970) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey defenceman. He is the current head coach of VIK Västerås HK in the HockeyAllsvenskan (Allsv). Olsson played briefly in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the St. Louis Blues and Ottawa Senators. Playing career Olsson was drafted by the Blues in the 11th round, 275th overall in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft. He played in Sweden for 2 years before splitting the 1995–1996 season with the Worcester Ice Cats of the AHL and making his debut with the Blues. The following season he was part of an infamous and extremely lopsided trade when he was traded by the Blues to the Ottawa Senators for Pavol Demitra. Demitra eventually became a scoring powerhouse with the Blues for a number of years while Olsson decided to go back to Sweden to play hockey after his short stint with the Senators that year. Lars ''Christer'' Stefan Nylander (born 3 October 1968) is a Swedish Liberals Party politician, member of the Riksdag since 2002 for Skåne Northern and Eastern. He was the parliamentary leader from June 2016 until June 2019 for the Liberals Party in the Riksdag.
