Christopher Young (born April 28, 1957) is an American composer and orchestrator of film and television scores. Many of his compositions are for horror and thriller films, including ''Hellraiser'', ''Species'', ''Urban Legend'', ''The Grudge'', '' The Exorcism of Emily Rose'', ''Drag Me to Hell'', ''Sinister'', '' Deliver Us from Evil'' and ''Pet Sematary''. Other works include '' Rapid Fire'', ''Copycat'', '' Set It Off'', '' Entrapment'', '' The Hurricane'', ''Swordfish'', ''Ghost Rider'', ''Spider-Man 3'' and ''The Shipping News'', for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score. In 2006, he was the Season 4 winner of the television program ''Nashville Star'', a singing competition on USA. After winning, he was signed to RCA Records Nashville, releasing his Chris Young (album), self-titled debut album that same year. ''Chris Young'' is the debut album by American country music artist Chris Young, who in 2006 was a winner on the television singing competition ''Nashville Star''. Released on Arista Nashville in 2006, the album produced two chart singles for Young on the ''Billboard'' Hot Country Songs charts: "Drinkin' Me Lonely" and "You're Gonna Love Me", which respectively reached No. 42 and No. 48, making this the only album of Young's career not to produce any top 40 hits. The song "Flowers" was originally recorded by its co-writer, Billy Yates, who released it as a single from his self-titled debut album in 1997. "Beer or Gasoline" was co-written by David Lee Murphy and Ira Dean, the latter of whom was bassist for Trick Pony at the time. Christopher Ryan Young (born May 25, 1979) is an American former professional baseball player and current general manager of the Texas Rangers. He played in Major League Baseball as a right-handed pitcher from to for the Texas Rangers, San Diego Padres, New York Mets, Seattle Mariners and the Kansas City Royals. Young was a 2007 National League (NL) All-Star player as a member of the Padres, and was a member of the 2015 World Series winning Kansas City Royals team. After his playing career, he worked for the Major League Baseball front office before becoming the General Manager of the Rangers in 2020. At the age of 25, Young made his MLB debut on August 24, 2004 with the Rangers. Christopher Brandon Young (born September 5, 1983) is an American former professional baseball outfielder. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Arizona Diamondbacks, Oakland Athletics, New York Mets, New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox and Los Angeles Angels. Christopher Young (26 May 1886 – 22 October 1956) was an English professional footballer who played for Grimsby Town, Gainsborough Trinity, Tottenham Hotspur and Port Vale. A prolific forward, he twice finished as Port Vale's top-scorer, and once scored a club record seven goals in one game. Christopher Devlin-Young (born December 26, 1962) is an American alpine ski racer and two time Paralympic Champion, who resides in Campton, New Hampshire. He competes as a monoskier in the LW 12–1 class. Career Born in San Diego, Young was paralyzed in a plane crash in Alaska while serving in the United States Coast Guard in 1982.
