Chris Williams (defensive Back)
Chris Albany Williams (born January 2, 1959) is a former American football player who played professionally in the National Football League (NFL) as a defensive back for the Buffalo Bills for three seasons. He was selected by the Bills in the second round of the 1981 NFL draft. He had three interceptions and a fumble recovery in his professional career, all in 1983, in which he played in all 16 regular season games. Williams was born in Alexandria, Louisiana and attended Tioga High School in Tioga, Louisiana. 1981 NFL Draft
The 1981 NFL draft was the procedure by which National Football League teams selected amateur college football players. It is officially known as the NFL Annual Player Selection Meeting. The draft was held April 28–29, 1981, at the New York Sheraton Hotel in New York City. The league also held a supplemental draft after the regular draft and before the regular season. Fumble
A fumble in gridiron football occurs when a player who has possession and control of the ball loses it before being downed (tackled), scoring, or going out of bounds. By rule, it is any act other than passing, kicking, punting, or successful handing that results in loss of ball possession by a player. A fumble may be forced by a defensive player who either grabs or punches the ball or butts the ball with their helmet (a move called "tackling the ball").
