Chris Smith (defensive Back)
Chris Smith (born June 23, 1987) is an American football defensive back for the Atlanta Havoc of the American Arena League (AAL). He first enrolled Highland Community College before transferring to Northern Illinois University. He attended Palmetto High School in Palmetto, Florida. Smith has been a member of the St. Louis Rams, Omaha Nighthawks, Tampa Bay Storm, Montreal Alouettes, Jacksonville Sharks and Columbus Lions. College career Smith recorded 41 tackles, six interceptions, 15 pass break-ups, forced two fumbles and blocked a kick for the Highland Scotties of Highland Community College in 2008. He was a second-team All- Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference selection. He enrolled at Northern Illinois University in January 2009. Smith played in 26 games for the Northern Illinois Huskies from 2009 to 2010, starting 25. The Arena Football League (AFL) was a professional arena football league in the United States. 2011 UFL Draft
The 2011 UFL Draft was the third and final draft of the United Football League. The draft took place on Monday, May 2, 2011. The draft was held over a period of 10 rounds during which each of the five UFL teams was allowed one pick per round, in reverse order of 2010 finish, with the last-place Hartford Colonials picking first and the champion Las Vegas Locomotives picking last in each round. The expansion Virginia Destroyers took the place of the defunct Florida Tuskers, from whom the Destroyers inherited their staff, in the draft order; the Destroyers also received a "bonus selection" at both the end of the fourth round and the end of the draft, respectively. The Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) is a college athletic conference that is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). As of 2007, the KJCCC was home to more than 3,000 student-athletes in the 19 men's and women's sports. The conference's name comes from " Jayhawk" which is a term used for people born in the state of Kansas, where all of the conference's schools are located. Palmetto, Florida
Palmetto is a city in Manatee County, Florida, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was listed as 13,323. It is part of the Bradenton-Sarasota-Venice, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area. History A post office called Palmetto has been in operation since 1868. Samuel Sparks Lamb is considered the "Father of Palmetto," having surveyed and plotted the city at its outset and donated several plots of land. He owned a general merchandise store in town.
