Christopher Robert Segal (born July 13, 1982) is an American Major League Baseball (MLB) Umpire (baseball), umpire. He wears number 96. He made his MLB umpiring debut in 2014. Early life Segal was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and reached the rank of Eagle Scout in 2000 before graduating from Lake Braddock Secondary School. Segal attended St. Mary's College of Maryland and played college baseball for the Seahawks before graduating in 2005. Umpiring career On July 17, 2017, Segal was struck in the head by the bat of Josh Donaldson in a game between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Boston Red Sox. Segal ended up remaining in the game. Falls Church is an independent city in the Commonwealth of Virginia. As of the 2020 census, the population was 14,658. Falls Church is included in the Washington metropolitan area. Joshua Adam Donaldson (born December 8, 1985) is an American professional baseball third baseman for the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played for the Oakland Athletics, Toronto Blue Jays, Cleveland Indians, Atlanta Braves, and Minnesota Twins. Alec Thomas Mills (born November 30, 1991) is an American professional baseball pitcher who is a free agent. The Kansas City Royals selected Mills in the 22nd round of the 2012 Major League Baseball draft. He previously played for the Kansas City Royals and Chicago Cubs. College career Mills attended Montgomery Central High School in Cunningham, Tennessee. He played college baseball at the University of Tennessee at Martin as a walk-on. No-hitter
In baseball, a no-hitter is a game in which a team was not able to record a hit. Major League Baseball (MLB) officially defines a no-hitter as a completed game in which a team that batted in at least nine innings recorded no hits. Cameron Keith Maybin (born April 4, 1987) is an American former professional baseball outfielder and current broadcaster. Brett Michael Gardner (born August 24, 1983) is an American professional baseball outfielder who is a free agent. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the New York Yankees. Gardner was a walk-on for the College of Charleston's baseball team. In baseball statistics, a hit (denoted by H), also called a base hit, is credited to a batter when the batter safely reaches or passes first base after hitting the ball into fair territory with neither the benefit of an error nor a fielder's choice.
