Chris Seddon
Christopher Jon Seddon (born October 13, 1983) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. Seddon was drafted by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in the fifth round of the 2001 Major League Baseball draft. He later went on to play in the Devil Rays organization (2001–2007), the Florida Marlins organization (2007–2008), the Seattle Mariners organization (2009–2010) and the Cleveland Indians organization (2012). On September 3, 2007, Seddon made his Major League Baseball (MLB) debut with the Marlins. He has also played in Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) for the SK Wyverns and in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) for the Yomiuri Giants. In baseball, the pitcher is the player who throws ("pitches") the baseball from the pitcher's mound toward the catcher to begin each play, with the goal of retiring a batter, who attempts to either make contact with the pitched ball or draw a walk. In the numbering system used to record defensive plays, the pitcher is assigned the number 1. The Korea Baseball Organization (KBO; ko, 한국야구위원회) is the governing body for the professional leagues of baseball in South Korea. The KBO was founded in 1981 and has governed two leagues: the KBO League ( ko, KBO 리그) and KBO Futures League ( ( farm league) since 1982. American expatriate players began to steadily find spots on Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) rosters in the 1960s. More than 600 Americans have played NPB, although very few last more than a single season in Japan. The Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL; ) is the top-tier professional baseball league in Taiwan. The league was established in 1989 and played the first season in 1990. Albuquerque Isotopes
The Albuquerque Isotopes are a Minor League Baseball team of the Pacific Coast League and the Triple-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies. They play home games at Rio Grande Credit Union Field at Isotopes Park in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at an elevation of above sea level. In 2003, the Calgary Cannons moved from Alberta to Albuquerque and became the Isotopes playing in the Pacific Coast League.
