Chris Schroder
Christopher Keith Schroder (born August 20, 1978) is an American former professional baseball relief pitcher. He attended Oklahoma City University. Bob Carpenter coined him one of the 'er boys' along with Chris Booker and Ryan Wagner. Baseball career Schroder was known as a strikeout pitcher. In , he made it to the majors with the Washington Nationals, and appeared in 21 games, pitching 28 innings and recording 39 strikeouts. But he also walked 15 and allowed 7 homers. All told, by the end of 2006, he had pitched 97 innings in Triple-A Columbus with 121 K's. He started at Triple-A Columbus, and improved his home run problem—in 26 games he threw 33 innings, striking out 45. While he still conceded 18 walks, he did not surrender any home runs, posting an ERA of 1.64. On June 20, he was called up to the Nationals. Mike Bacsik (left-handed Pitcher)
Michael Joseph Bacsik (; born November 11, 1977) is an American former Major League Baseball (MLB) pitcher and current radio host. He is known for giving up Barry Bonds' 756th career home run on August 7, 2007, which broke the all-time record formerly held by Hank Aaron. After his baseball career, Bacsik was a radio producer for KTCK, but was later fired. A year later, he was hired as a radio host at KRLD-FM. Baseball career Early years Bacsik was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 18th round (543rd overall) in the Major League Baseball draft out of Duncanville High School. He was in his sixth minor league season with the Indians organization before making his debut on August 5, . The Miami Marlins are an American professional baseball team based in Miami. The Marlins compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the National League (NL) East division. The club's home ballpark is LoanDepot Park. The franchise began play as an expansion team in the 1993 season as the Florida Marlins. He played in Major League Baseball for the San Francisco Giants, New York Yankees, and Oakland Athletics. He is a scout for the Yankees. Career Early career Giese graduated from Rubidoux High School in Riverside, California, and then graduated from the University of San Diego, where he played college baseball for the Toreros from 1996-1998. The Boston Red Sox selected Giese in the 34th round of the 1999 Major League Baseball draft. The Red Sox traded to the San Diego Padres with Brad Baker in exchange for Alan Embree on June 23, 2002.
