Chris Piper
Chris Piper (born 15 October) is an English dancer, Choreographer and Producer who has worked in theatre, TV and film. Piper was a live finalist on the premiere season of the UK version of ''So You Think You Can Dance'' and has performed at The Brit Awards, on ''X Factor'' at the Royal Variety Performance on ''Dancing on Ice'' and appeared in commercials for Marks and Spencers, Coca-Cola and BlackBerry. Piper has also appeared in the musicals ''Chicago'', ''We Will Rock You'', ''Flashdance'', '' Fame'', ''Desperately Seeking Susan'', ''Coronation Street'' and in the world tour of Michael Flatley's ''Celtic Tiger''. So You Think You Can Dance (UK Series 1)
The 1st series of ''So You Think You Can Dance'' premiered on 2 January 2010, beginning with one audition show which showed the auditions, choreography camp and introducing the top 14. Five elimination rounds were followed by a final, with performances and results shown on the same night. The winner's prize was the title "Britain's Favourite Dancer", £100,000 and a trip to Hollywood, where the winner would perform in the US series finale. The finale of the first series was held on 13 February 2010. Robbie White was injured, and could not perform. Lizzie Gough finished third, Tommy Franzén was the season runner-up, but female jazz dancer Charlie Bruce ended up as the winner. Progress Live was the eighth concert tour by British pop group Take That. The tour, sponsored by Samsung, supported their sixth studio album, ''Progress'' as they visited major cities in the UK and Europe. It was the first tour to feature all five original members performing together in 16 years and the final tour to feature Jason Orange and Robbie Williams. In its infancy, the tour accomplished many accolades including selling 1.34 million tickets in less than 24 hours. The tour quickly became the biggest tour in the United Kingdom. Kim Gavin is a British director, choreographer, and former ballet dancer. He was the creative director of the 2012 Summer Olympics closing ceremony, 2012 Summer Olympics and 2012 Summer Paralympics closing ceremony, Paralympics closing ceremonies. Kim Gavin is the son of a plumber from Ilford in East London. He was brought up in Bournemouth. ''DanceX'' is a reality television show produced in the UK for BBC One in 2007. It is a live show, in which two teams of male and female dancers compete to form a new dance group. Team Bruno won the show on 25 August. Presenter and team leaders The show was hosted by GMTV and former '' Xtra Factor'' presenter Ben Shephard. ''Pineapple Dance Studios'' is a docusoap which aired on Sky1 during 2010. The show gave viewers an insight into the world of Pineapple Dance Studios, a London dance complex, and introduced several employees including Louie Spence and Andrew Stone plus Pineapple Dance Studio regular Tricia Walsh-Smith. The show was first broadcast on 14 February 2010 on Sky1, with narration by ex-BBC newsreader Michael Buerk, it was presented in a documentary style that included impromptu dancing and the promotional tag-line: "Pineapple Dance Studios: bitching is fabulous!".
