Chris Norby
Chris Norby (born December 3, 1949) is an American politician and educator. He served on the Fullerton City Council (1984–2002) including three years as mayor, on the Orange County Board of Supervisors (2003–2010), on the California State Assembly (2010–2012). Early life and education A native of Fullerton, California, Chris Norby was one of four children born to Cornell and June Norby. During his youth, Chris Norby played Little League baseball, Pop Warner football, and sang in the First Presbyterian Church children's choir. He was also a Boy Scout and worked in the Norby family's lumber yard. As a teenager, Norby volunteered for Barry Goldwater's presidential campaign and worked as a guide at the Haunted Shack at the Knott's Berry Farm amusement park. Alverno High School
Alverno Heights Academy, formerly Alverno High School, is an independent, Catholic, College-prep high school for girls located in Sierra Madre, California, near Pasadena. The school is on the former Villa del Sol d’Oro estate. Due to Alverno High's unique architecture and grounds the school has been used in many TV shows and movies, also weddings. On February 21, 2023, Alverno's trustees announced that its high school ("Upper School") will close on June 2, 2023. The K-8 "Lower School" will remain open. Placentia () is a city in northern Orange County, California. The population was 51,233 during the 2020 census, up from 46,488 in the 2000 census. Aggie Yell Leaders
The Aggie Yell Leaders are a group of Texas A&M University students that lead Aggie fans in a series of "yells" during athletic events or other school events. The Yell Leaders are composed of five students (three seniors and two juniors) who are elected annually by popular vote of the student body. The Yell Leaders use a variety of hand signals, called "pass-backs," to direct and intensify the crowds. Earth Day is an annual event on April 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection.
