Chris Noffke
Chris Noffke (born 6 January 1988) is an Australian long jumper. He was born in Ipswich. He attended St Peter's Lutheran College in Brisbane, Queensland. He finished fourth at the 2004 World Junior Championships and won the gold medal at the 2005 World Youth Championships. He also competed at the 2006 World Junior Championships and the 2007 World Championships without reaching the final round. His personal best jump is 8.33 metres, achieved in March 2010 in Perth Perth is the capital and largest city of the Australian state of Western Australia. Long Jump
The long jump is a track and field event in which athletes combine speed, strength and agility in an attempt to leap as far as possible from a takeoff point. Along with the triple jump, the two events that measure jumping for distance as a group are referred to as the "horizontal jumps". This event has a history in the ancient Olympic Games and has been a modern Olympic event for men since the first Olympics in 1896 and for women since 1948. The 2005 World Youth Championships in Athletics were held in Marrakesh, Morocco on July 13–July 17. The host stadium was Stade Sidi Youssef Ben Ali. The boy's 400 metres hurdles event was initially won by Sudan's Abdulagadir Idriss in a time of 50.78 seconds, but this was later annulled due to Idriss failing a doping control. The 2006 World Junior Championships in Athletics is the 2006 version of the World Junior Championships in Athletics. It was held from 15 August to 20 August at the Chaoyang Sports Centre in Beijing, the capital of the People's Republic of China. The Championships were dominated by the host nation China, and Kenya.
