Chris Neath
} Christopher Maurice Neath (born 29 January 1982) is a former motorcycle speedway rider from England. He earned one international cap for the Great Britain national speedway team. Career Neath began riding when competing in youth grasstrack competitions, winning numerous ACU Championship titles, British, National and Best Pairs. He first began riding league speedway for the Newport Mavericks during the 1998 Speedway Conference League. The following season, he captained the Mavericks to the league title, in addition to riding for the Newport Wasps senior team in the Premier League (speedway), Premier League and winning the Premier Trophy (speedway), Premier Trophy with them. In 2001, Neath also ventured to Sweden riding to a 10.68 point average for Norbaggarna. In 2002, Neath moved to Premier league rivals, the Swindon Robins. Grasstrack
Motorcycle Grasstrack is a form of track racing which typically, in its current form, takes place on a flat track consisting of two straights and two bends usually constructed in a field. It is one of the oldest types of motorcycle sports in the UK with the first meetings having taken place in the 1920s. History In the United Kingdom, kidney-shaped circuits were sometimes used to include a right hand bend, and undulating hillsides were also used to increase the challenge for riders. The events traditionally occurred after haymaking and before harvesting season on newly-cut fields. Postwar grasstrack circuits included "permanent" venues such as Brands Hatch and Mallory Park which were not simple oval shapes, although solo motorcycle races were run in an anti-clockwise direction. Tai Woffinden (born 10 August 1990) is a British motorcycle speedway, speedway rider. He is a three-time Speedway World Championship, World Champion (2013 Speedway Grand Prix, 2013, 2015 Speedway Grand Prix, 2015 and 2018 Speedway Grand Prix, 2018). Early life Woffinden was born in Scunthorpe, the son of former speedway rider Rob Woffinden. Although born in the United Kingdom and competing as a British rider, Woffinden grew up in Perth, Western Australia after his parents Rob and Sue decided to move there in 1994. Career Woffinden began his career in junior speedway in Perth where he won the 2006 Western Australian Under-16 title, though he unfortunately missed riding in the Australian Under-16 Championship in Adelaide. Fredrik Lindgren (speedway Rider)
Jan Fredrik Tobias (Freddie) Lindgren (born 15 September 1985) is a Swedish motorcycle speedway rider. He has twice won the bronze medal at the Speedway World Championship and won the world team championships in 2015. Career Born in Örebro, Sweden. Lindgren's father Tommy was a speedway rider before him, and his younger brother Ludvig also rides. Lindgren first appeared for Wolverhampton Wolves during the 2003 season as the team struggled with injuries. At the age of just 17, Freddie made his debut for the team and impressed enough to be brought back the following season when again injuries hit the club. In 2005, he moved over to full-time and averaged 7.44 for Wolves in his debut full season and in 2006 he improved to average 8.12. Premier League Four Team Championship
The SGB Championship Fours formerly the Premier League Four-Team Championship is a contest between teams competing in the second tier of speedway in the United Kingdom. Teams are grouped into fours, with one rider from each team in each race. The winners and second place of each group competed for the Championship in the final. History The competition replaced the National League Four-Team Championship (held from 1976 until 1994). It was first staged in 1995 when the Premier League was the highest tier of British speedway because the top two divisions had merged. However, in 1996, it reverted back to a competition for second tier teams in the British Speedway system. From 1997 until 2016 it was known as the Premier League Four-Team Championship.
