Chris Natt
Christopher William Natt (born 9 December 1952) is a former Australian politician and Australian rules footballer who played for the Port Adelaide Football Club in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). Football career A ruckman, Natt played 216 games for Port Adelaide between 1972 and 1983. He won two premierships with Port Adelaide in 1980 and 1981. Following his retirement from football, Natt coached local teams in South Australia before moving to the Northern Territory to take up the position of Chief Executive Officer of the Northern Territory Football League. Politics In 2005, Natt ran for the Northern Territory Legislative Assembly as the Labor Party candidate in the Palmerston electorate of Drysdale at the 2005 Territory election. He faced extremely daunting odds on paper. Ruckman (Australian Rules Football)
In Australian rules football, a ruckman or ruckwoman is typically a tall and athletic player who contests at centre bounces and stoppages (such as boundary throw-ins and ball-ups). The ruckman is one of the most important players on the field. They are often key to coaching strategy and winning centre clearances which result in the most goal kicking opportunities (inside 50s). The role of the ruckman in Australian rules is similar to a lock (rugby union), lock in rugby union contesting a line-out (rugby union), line-out. The key differences are that with the exception of boundary throw-ins, the ball is almost always thrown straight up high into the air rather than horizontally, so in this respect, the ruckman is similar to a Center (basketball), basketball centre. Country Liberal Party
The Country Liberal Party of the Northern Territory (CLP) is a centre-right political party in Australia's Northern Territory. In local politics it operates in a two-party system with the Australian Labor Party (ALP). It also contests federal elections as an affiliate of the Liberal Party of Australia and National Party of Australia, the two partners in the federal coalition. The CLP originated in 1971 as a division of the Australian Country Party (later renamed the National Party), the first local branches of which were formed in 1966. Stephen Dunham (politician)
Stephen Dunham (born 1956) is a former Australian politician. He was the Country Liberal Party member for Drysdale in the Northern Territory Legislative Assembly from 1997 to 2005. Dunham held the position of Health Minister in the Burke Government and held senior portfolios in opposition following Labor's victory in 2001. Dunham had skated to victory in both 1997 and 2001, and there was virtually no hint he was in any danger of losing his seat in 2005. Ross Oscar Charles Bohlin is a former Australian politician. He was a Country Liberal Party member of the Northern Territory Legislative Assembly, and held his seat of Drysdale from his defeat of sitting Labor member Chris Natt at the 2008 election until 2012.
