Chris McLernon
Chris McLernon is an American musician who is best known as the current bassist of the band Saigon Kick from 1992–1997 and 2012– present. Before joining Saigon Kick Chris played in Cold Sweat and the premiere Kiss tribute band Cold Gin, which also featured one time Cold Sweat band-mate Anthony White, Black 'N Blue vocalist extraordinaire Jaime St. James and current Kiss member Tommy Thayer. Joining Saigon Kick in July 1992, McLernon replaced Tom Defile as their second album ''The Lizard'' hit the stores. Saigon Kick then toured non-stop for the next eleven months, as the single "Love Is On The Way" and The Lizard album both went gold. McLernon then recorded with the band on their third album ''Water'', in Stockholm, Sweden and Tampa, Florida. Water had three number one singles in Indonesia, leading to a sold-out tour in 1994. Saigon Kick
Saigon Kick is an American hard rock band from Miami, Florida, that formed in 1988. When they recorded their debut album and second album the band consisted of lead vocalist Matt Kramer, lead guitarist Jason Bieler, bassist Tom Defile, and drummer Phil Varone. The modern lineup consists of Matt Kramer, Jason Bieler, bassist Chris McLernon, rhythm guitarist Steve Gibb, and drummer Jonathan Mover. The band is mainly known for their second album ''The Lizard'' which reached number 80 on the ''Billboard'' 200, on the strength of its lead single " Love Is on the Way" which was a number 12 hit on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100, and is their only single to chart there. The album and "Love Is on the Way" have both been certified gold. Thomas Cunningham Thayer (born November 7, 1960) is an American musician and songwriter. He is the lead guitarist and vocalist for the American hard rock band Kiss. He was also lead guitarist for the band Black 'n Blue. Early life Thomas Cunningham Thayer was born on November 7, 1960, in Portland, Oregon, and grew up in the nearby suburb of Beaverton, Oregon. His mother Patricia Thayer (née Cunningham) was a classically trained violinist and singer, and his father, James Thayer (1922-2018), was a businessman, community leader and retired US Army Brigadier General. Early on, Thayer was raised with three brothers and a sister in a musical family, exposed to genres that ranged from classical to the Beatles and other classic 1960s pop music. Thayer's affinity for early 1970s hard rock bands led him to pick up electric guitar at age 13. ''The Lizard'' is the second album of American rock band Saigon Kick, released on June 2, 1992 through Third Stone/Atlantic. Release The track "Body Bags" was featured on the soundtrack to the 1993 crime TV film '' Beyond the Law''. ''Water'' is the third album of American rock band Saigon Kick, released on September 28, 1993 through Third Stone/Atlantic Records, Atlantic. It is the first Saigon Kick album to feature guitarist Jason Bieler on lead vocals, and bassist Chris McLernon. Drummer Phil Varone left the band in the same year.
