Chris Long (footballer)
Christopher Michael Long (born 25 February 1995) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for League Two club Crewe Alexandra. He is a product of the Everton Academy. Long has represented England from U16 to U20 level. Club career Everton A forward, Long grew up in Huyton and represented the town at schoolboy level. Long joined the Everton academy as a five-year-old in 2000 and worked his way up through the youth ranks. He made his debut for the Toffees' youth team in a 2–1 Premier Academy League defeat to Bolton Wanderers on 5 February 2011, coming on as a late substitute for Hallam Hope. He broke into the youth team of a regular basis during the 2011–12 season, impressing after scoring 9 goals in 17 games. Huyton
Huyton ( ) is a town in the Metropolitan Borough of Knowsley, Merseyside, England. Part of the Liverpool Urban Area, it borders the Liverpool suburbs of Dovecot, Knotty Ash and Belle Vale, and the neighbouring village of Roby, with which it formed Huyton with Roby Urban District between 1894 and 1974. In sports, a loan involves a particular player being able to temporarily play for a club other than the one to which they are currently contracted. Loan deals may last from a few weeks to a full season, sometimes persisting for multiple seasons at a time. A loan fee can be arranged by the parent club as well as them asking to pay a percentage of their wages. Association football Players may be loaned out to other clubs for several reasons. Conor Michael McAleny (born 12 August 1992) is an English professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or striker for club Salford City. He is a product of the Everton academy. While at Everton, he spent time on loan at Football League teams Scunthorpe United, Brentford, Cardiff City, Charlton Athletic, Wigan Athletic, and Oxford United, before leaving on a permanent basis in 2017 to join Fleetwood Town. FC Krasnodar is a Russian professional football club based in Krasnodar that plays in the Russian Premier League. The club was founded in 2008. Dead Rubber
Dead rubber is a term used in sporting parlance to describe a match in a series where the series result has already been decided by earlier matches. The dead rubber match therefore has no effect on the winner and loser of the series, other than the total number of matches won and lost. The term is used in Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup tennis, as well as in international cricket, field hockey, the FIFA World Cup, UEFA Champions League, Rugby World Cup and the State of Origin series. Premier Reserve League
The Premier Reserve League (officially known as The Barclays Premier Reserve League for sponsorship reasons) was the reserve team league for the top English football teams in the Premier League. The league was split into a northern and a southern division. The league started out in 1999, replacing The Central League in the north and The Football Combination in the south as the top level of reserve-team football, although those competitions continued for lower-level teams and from 2004 to 2005, the regional champions would play-off for the title. Hallam Robert Hope (born 17 March 1994) is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for National League club Oldham Athletic. Born in England, Hope represents Barbados internationally after representing England up to under-19 level. He joined the Academy at Everton in 2005. He never played a senior game for the club, though spent brief loan spells at Northampton Town, Bury and Sheffield Wednesday in 2014, before joining Bury permanently in January 2015, who would end the 2014–15 season being promoted out of League Two.
