Chris Jones (filmmaker)
Chris Jones is a British filmmaker, author, film director, screenwriter and educator, who has written books on becoming a film-maker. Jones was educated at Bournemouth Film School, and made his feature film director debut at the age of 21 with ''The Runner'' (1992). He owns the film company called Living Spirit. His films include the 1994 British thriller film ''White Angel'' starring Peter Firth and Don Henderson, and ''Urban Ghost Story'' (1998), a horror film set in Glasgow starring Jason Connery. Jones wrote and directed the short film '' Gone Fishing'' starring Bill Paterson, that premiered at BAFTA on 12 January 2008. ''Gone Fishing'' won 35 prizes at the film festival circuit including the Grand Prize at the 2008 Bahamas International Film Festival, and the 2008 Rhode Island International Film Festival, and it won the Grand Jury Prize at the 2009 Edmonton International Film Festival. Higher End
Higher End or Billinge Higher End is an area of the Metropolitan Borough of Wigan, Greater Manchester, England. Governance Billinge was a civil parish lying within the historic county boundaries of Lancashire on 2 February 1837 it was divided into two townships, Billinge Chapel End and Billinge Higher End when the Wigan poor law union was formed merging the workhouse provision of 20 parishes in the Wigan area. The poor law union built the Wigan Poor Law Infirmary in 1906 which became Billinge Hospital. In 1872 Billinge Local Board of Health was established for the area of these two townships and two detached parts of Winstanley township (one known as Blackley Hurst and the other situated in the Carr Mill area, both lying within the area of Billinge Chapel End township). The Sedona International Film Festival (SIFF) is an annual, eight-day film festival in Sedona, Arizona. The festival was founded in 1994. Big Island Film Festival
The Big Island Film Festival is a film festival held at the Mauna Lani Resort on the Kohala Coast on the Big Island of Hawaii. The festival, which has been held every May between 2006 and 2016, features short and feature films by independent filmmakers from around the world, as well as food and beverage events, celebrities and Hawaiian music and culture. The Beverly Hills Film Festival (BHFF) is a film festival in the United States founded in 2001 by independent filmmaker Nino Simone. The festival is an international competition dedicated to showcasing the art and talent of emerging filmmakers and screenplay writers from around the world.
