Christopher Joyce Fernando Javier (born December 6, 1992) is a Filipino professional basketball player who last played for the NorthPort Batang Pier of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He was drafted 5th overall by Star in the 2016 PBA draft. Early life The young Javier learned the rudiments of the game of basketball when he participated in a camp held by former PBA player Ed Cordero sometime in 2005. A year later, he was recruited by the San Beda Red Cubs, which he helped win more championships in the high school division of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. When it was time for him to move to college, he planned to enroll at De La Salle University with fellow Red Cub Alfonzo Gotladera but was advised to play elsewhere to avoid playing in the shadow of his teammate. UE Red Warriors refer to the collegiate men's varsity teams of the University of the East. The women's collegiate varsity teams are called the UE Lady Warriors. The Athletic director of the University of the East is Rodrigo M. Roque. 2021 PBA 3x3 Season
The 2021 PBA 3x3 season was the inaugural season of the PBA 3x3, the 3x3 basketball league of the Philippine Basketball Association. Postponement The inaugural season was supposed to be held in 2020, with all 12 franchise teams of the main PBA to field their own teams. Mighty Sports and Dunkin Donuts reportedly were interesting in also fielding teams in the PBA 3x3. The inaugural season was supposed to start with the 3×3 Philippine Cup in March 2020, but was postponed to 2021 by June 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic with the PBA preoccupied with plans to resume the season of its main league during that time. The TNT (cellular service), TNT Tropang Giga is a professional basketball team currently owned by Smart Communications, a subsidiary of the PLDT, Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT), playing in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) since 1990. Riego Meinardo Villa Gamalinda (born May 25, 1986 in Iligan City) is a Filipino professional basketball player who last played for the San Miguel Beermen of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). The PBA Developmental League, or PBA D-League, is the Philippine Basketball Association's official minor league basketball organization. History The PBA D-League was conceptualized after the collapse of the proposed merger between the Philippine Basketball League (PBL) and Liga Pilipinas after the staging of the ''Tournament of the Philippines'' which was composed by PBL and Liga Pilipinas teams. The Ateneo Blue Eagles are the collegiate varsity teams of the Ateneo de Manila University that play in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), the premiere collegiate league in the Philippines. The collegiate women's varsity basketball team is called the ''Lady Eagles''. The Ateneo collegiate men's varsity basketball team was not always called the Blue Eagles.
