Chris Faller
Chris Faller (born 1 May 1985 in Buffalo, NY) is the bassist of The Hush Sound and Company of Thieves. Faller provides vocals as well, along with bandmates Greta Salpeter Greta Morgan Salpeter (born February 12, 1988), better known as Greta Morgan, is an American singer-songwriter and musician based in Los Angeles, CA. Her career began in 2005 as singer/pianist of the Chicago-based band The Hush Sound. She later ..., Robert Morris, and Darren Wilson. Faller joined the band last after much persuasion from drummer Darren Wilson, and since then The Hush Sound has been signed by Fueled By Ramen. Faller and The Hush Sound released a new album, titled ''Goodbye Blues''. In October 2008 Faller left the band to pursue other musical interests. In July 2009, while The Hush Sound was still on hiatus, Faller joined the band Family Order as a bassist. The Hush Sound
The Hush Sound is an American indie pop band from Chicago, Illinois, United States. Initially named "The Hush," the band later changed its name to "The Hush Sound" due to the discovery of a rapper with the same name. The band consists of Bob Morris (vocals and guitar), Chris Faller (bass guitar and vocals), Darren Wilson (drums, percussion and vocals), and Greta Salpeter (vocals and piano). Mike Leblanc (bass guitar) temporarily replaced Faller after he left the band for a few months in 2008 . In 2005, the band released their first studio album, ''So Sudden,'' independently, which was later rereleased through Decaydance Records and Fueled by Ramen. Company of Thieves were an American indie rock band from Chicago, Illinois, founded by Genevieve Schatz (vocals) and Marc Walloch (guitar). Their first album, '' Ordinary Riches'', was released independently in 2007 and re-released in 2009. Their second album, ''Running from a Gamble'', was released in 2011. The band announced they had no plans to record any new music as of January 2014, but announced a reunion in May 2017. Greta Salpeter
Greta Morgan Salpeter (born February 12, 1988), better known as Greta Morgan, is an American singer-songwriter and musician based in Los Angeles, CA. Her career began in 2005 as singer/pianist of the Chicago-based band The Hush Sound. She later formed the band Gold Motel, whose debut album was released on June 1, 2010. Since 2014, she performs under the name Springtime Carnivore and has released two albums. Music career Morgan began learning piano at a young age, studying classical music. She first met Bob Morris, guitarist/vocalist in 2001. The two started playing together and created The Hush Sound, later recruiting Chris Faller on bass and Darren Wilson on drums. She was 16 when she began touring with The Hush Sound. In 2009, Morgan began recording material with the band Gold Motel. Darren Wilson is drummer of the Chicago-based indie-rock group The Hush Sound. He plays alongside bandmates, Wilson was a member of the band Until Sundown along with Chris Faller, until they were both recruited to play join The Hush Sound in late 2004/early 2005. In late-July through mid-August 2009, Wilson played drums with Mark Rose (formerly of Spitalfield) on his solo outing, and continues to play scattered live dates regularly. In 2013, The Hush Sound reunited, released new music, and toured around the United States.
