Chris Bailey (animator)
Chris Bailey (born March 26, 1962) is an American animator and film director. Early life and career Bailey was born in Portland, Oregon on March 26, 1962. He went to high school at Reynolds High School, and later attended California Institute of the Arts. He worked at Disney as an animator for ''Sport Goofy in Soccermania'' (1987), ''Oliver & Company'' (1988), ''The Little Mermaid'' (1989), ''The Rescuers Down Under'' (1990), ''The Lion King'' (1994), and ''Hercules'' (1997). He also animated the children for the World Chorus post-show area for It's a Small World at Disneyland Paris. Prior to Disney, Bailey worked with Don Bluth on the ''Space Ace'' and ''Dragon's Lair'' video games and also on '' Starchaser: The Legend of Orin''. He became one of the first traditional animators to adapt to computer graphics. Vancouver Film School
Vancouver Film School (VFS) is a private entertainment arts school located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Founded in 1987, it has achieved international recognition. The Vancouver Film School has campus locations around Downtown Vancouver and comprises six buildings. As part of the school's 20th anniversary in 2007, in August 2006 one million dollars was set aside in scholarships for new students. In March, 2008, Vancouver Film School and YouTube launched a competition for three full-tuition scholarships for the creators of the three videos submitted and voted as favorites by the YouTube community. ''It's Tough to Be a Bug!'' is a 9-minute-long 3D film based on the 1998 Disney·Pixar film ''A Bug's Life'', using theater lighting, 3-D filming techniques, audio-animatronics and various special effects. Flik, a character from the movie, hosts the show and educates the audience on why bugs should be considered friends. It was the first Pixar attraction to open in a Disney park. The attraction opened in Disney's Animal Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort on April 22, 1998, a full seven months before the actual feature debuted in theaters, and is housed within the theme park's icon, the Tree of Life. ''Runaway Brain'' is a 1995 American animated comedy- horror short film produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation. Featuring Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, the short centers on Mickey attempting to earn money to pay for an anniversary gift for Minnie. He responds to an advertisement to work for Dr. Frankenollie, but finds that the doctor is looking for a donor to switch brains with the monster he created.
