Christopher Anthony Allen (born 18 November 1972) is an English professional football coach and former player. A former England under-21 international midfielder, he started his career at Oxford United in 1991, playing 181 games in five years, helping to send the club on their way back to the First Division in 1995–96 before he signed with Nottingham Forest for a £400,000 fee. He played 26 Premier League games for Forest, though played little part in the club's 1997–98 First Division promotion campaign. Instead he was loaned out to Luton Town and Third Division promotion winners Cardiff City, before he was allowed to sign with Port Vale in March 1999. His career diminished in brief spells with Stockport County and Brighton & Hove Albion, before he featured for non-League sides Dover Athletic, Aldershot Town and North Leigh. Christopher Martin Allen (born 3 January 1989) is an English footballer who played in the Football League for Swindon Town. A midfielder, he currently plays for Chippenham Town. Career Allen was born in Devizes, Wiltshire, and began his junior career with his local Devizes under-9s team before joining the youth set-up at Swindon Town. Allen captained Swindon's youth team to the quarter-final stages of the 2007 FA Youth Cup, in which they were eliminated by Newcastle United after Allen was sent off near the beginning of extra time. Manager Paul Sturrock offered Allen a two-year professional deal which was signed in May 2007. He made his Swindon Town debut in the 4–1 win against Brentford in the Football League Trophy in September 2007, and made his Football League debut three months later, on 8 December in the starting eleven for an away game against Southend United which Swindon won 2–1. Chris Allen (born May 8, 1978) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman who played two games in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Florida Panthers. Playing career While playing for the Kingston Frontenacs, Allen scored the first ever goal at the CHL Top Prospects Game in 1996. Playing for Team Cherry and held that year at Maple Leaf Gardens, the goal was assisted by the Drummondville Voltigeurs' Daniel Brière. Allen was drafted in the third round, 60th overall, by the Florida Panthers in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft and played two games in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the team. An injury sidetracked his career and he never again reached the NHL level. Allen has had his shot recorded at 103 miles per hour and picked up the OHL Defenceman Of The Year award in 1997–98. Chris Allen is an Australian thriller writer, based in Wollongong, Australia. A former paratrooper, Allen has also served as Security Manager for the international aid agency CARE in Timor Leste; with the Australian Protective Service; and for the Government of New South Wales as Head of Security for the Sydney Opera House and as Sheriff of NSW. He self-published his first novel, ''Defender of the Faith'', in 2011. In 2012 Allen was offered a contract for two books with Pan Macmillan's digital imprint Momentum, followed in 2014 by a contract for a further two books and 2016 for a further book, a novella. The Troggs (originally called the Troglodytes) are an English garage rock band formed in Andover, Hampshire in May 1964. Shadowkeep are an English heavy metal band formed in Guildford in 1999 by guitarists Chris Allen (ex-Intense and Sire) and Nikki Robson (also formerly of Sire). History Early recordings In October 1999, Shadowkeep recorded their debut six-track EP at Thin Ice Studios in Surrey, England, with Belgian vocalist Rogue Marechal (ex-Halcyon) fronting the band.
