Chow Chun-fai
Chow Chun Fai () (born 1980) is a Hong Kong contemporary artist specialized in visual art. He is a chairman oFotanian Artist Villagein Fo Tan, in Hong Kong and one of the few artists who are actively engaged in politics. In 2012, he ran unsuccessfully for a cultural post in the Hong Kong legislative council election in the Sports, Performing Arts, Culture and Publication constituency. Biography Chow was born in Hong Kong in 1980. He graduated from the New Asia College of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), where he earned a BA and an MFA from the Department of Fine Arts. In 2001, his father became ill, he took on the former's taxi licence and worked as a taxi driver until 2007 in addition to his studies. During this early period, his focus turned to portraying the Hong Kong landscapes he witnessed as a taxi driver, resulting in his series of paintings "Hong Kong Taxi" (2003–2005) and "Hong Kong Street" (2004–2005) rendered in either enamel as well as oil on canvas or ... Zentrum Paul Klee
The Zentrum Paul Klee is a museum dedicated to the artist Paul Klee, located in Bern, Switzerland and designed by the Italian architect Renzo Piano. It features about 40 percent of Paul Klee's entire pictorial oeuvre. In 1997, Livia Klee-Meyer, Paul Klee's daughter-in-law, donated her inheritance of almost 690 works to the city and canton of Bern. Additional works and documents donated and loaned by the family and the Paul-Klee-Foundation and a further 200 on loans. from private collections contributed to creating a very large collection of works by the artist. The decision to build the museum in the Schöngrün site on the eastern outskirts of the city was made in 1998, and renowned Italian architect Renzo Piano was contracted the same year. Ho Siu Kee
Ho Siu-Kee ( zh, 何兆基; born 1964) is a visual artist from Hong Kong. His artistic and academic research focuses on exploring bodily perceptions as a means and process of aesthetic expression. Education Ho received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Department of Fine Arts, Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1989. He graduated from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 1995 with an MFA majoring in sculpture, and received his Doctorate in Fine Art from the RMIT University, Australia in 2003. Career Ho's works focus on the bodily experience, using his own body to heighten his senses and spatial awareness, employing different media including sculpture, installation, photography and video. The Saatchi Gallery is a London gallery for contemporary art and an independent charity opened by Charles Saatchi in 1985. Fo Tan
Fo Tan is an area of Sha Tin District, New Territories, Hong Kong. It was developed as a light industrial area, but this activity has declined markedly in recent years. There are residential areas to the east, alongside the MTR line, and in the foothills to the west. Etymology Fo Tan is located around a river, the Fo Tan Nullah. Historically, a beach was revealed when the water receded. The area thus became known as "river beach" (). In Hakka, this was pronounced "Fo Tan". It was later mistakenly called "Fire Beach" () due to similarities in pronunciation.
