Chou Ssu-chi
Chou Szu-chi (; born 26 October 1981 in Hualien County, Taiwan) is a Taiwanese professional baseball outfielders for the CTBC Brothers of Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL). At the end of 2008, when the dmedia T-REX folded in a gambling scandal, he was picked by the Brother Elephants in the third round of the redistribution draft. His performance in the 2012 season earned him the 2012 CPBL MVP of the Year award. He was part of Chinese Taipei's 2013 World Baseball Classic roster. He batted .429/.692/.571 in the qualification and .200/.333/267 during the competition. During the second round match between Chinese Taipei and Japan, his base on ball in the 3rd inning helped Chinese Taipei score their first run. 2013 World Baseball Classic
The 2013 World Baseball Classic (WBC) was an international professional baseball competition, held from March 2 to March 19, 2013. This was the third iteration of the WBC, following the two previous tournaments, held in 2006 and 2009. Unlike the two previous WBCs, which consisted of the same sixteen countries, only the twelve countries that won at least one game in the 2009 WBC were guaranteed a berth in the main tournament. The automatic qualifiers were Australia, China, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Italy, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, Puerto Rico, South Korea, the United States, and Venezuela. Yi-Chuan Lin ( zh, 林益全; born 11 November 1985) is a Taiwanese baseball infielder for the Uni-President Lions of the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL). He has previously played in the CPBL for the Fubon Guardians. He was the first position player to be named Rookie of the Year and MVP in the Chinese Professional Baseball League the same year.
