Chori Chori (1956 Film)
''Chori Chori'' (English: ''Stealthily'') is a 1956 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy film directed by Anant Thakur. It stars Raj Kapoor, Nargis in lead roles. Pran, Johnny Walker, Gope, David, Bhagwan Dada have character parts. It is an adaptation of the 1934 American film ''It Happened One Night''. This was the last film of Nargis and Kapoor together as leads, with Nargis doing one cameo appearance in the Kapoor starrer ''Jagte Raho'' (1956). Music was composed by Shankar-Jaikishan and lyrics were written by Hasrat Jaipuri and Shailendra. Syed Wajid Hussain Rizvi (Urdu: , born 16 October 1908 – 27 March 1998), better known by his film screen name, Agha Jani Kashmiri (Urdu: ), was an Indian screenwriter, former actor and Urdu poet. ''Jagte Raho'' () is a 1956 Bollywood/ Bengali film, directed by Amit Maitra and Sombhu Mitra, written by Khwaja Ahmad Abbas, and produced by and starring Raj Kapoor. The film centers on the trials of a poor villager (Kapoor) who comes to a city in search of a better life. However, the naive man soon becomes trapped in a web of middle-class greed and corruption. Bhagwan Dada (1 August 1913 – 4 February 2002), also credited and mononymously known as Bhagwan, was an Indian actor and film director who worked in Hindi cinema.
