Bluewave Chonburi Futsal Club ( Thai สโมสรฟุตซอลชลบุรี บลูเวฟ) is a Thai Futsal club. They currently play in the Futsal Thailand League. History Beginnings Chonburi Bluewave Futsal Club founded in 2006 and affiliated to the first season of the Thailand Futsal League. Chonburi Bluewave Futsal Club won the championship two times in the 2006 and 2009 season before the end of the provisional squad. The Thai giant The team has come back again under the control by the Chonburi Sports Association and Chonburi Football Club as Government Housing Bank RBAC Chonburi Futsal Club or (GHB-RBAC Chonburi Futsal club) . 2016 AFC Futsal Club Championship
The 2016 AFC Futsal Club Championship was the 7th edition of the AFC Futsal Club Championship, the annual Asian futsal club championship organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). The tournament was held in Bangkok, Thailand between July 17 and July 23, 2016. Qualified teams A total of 12 teams from 12 AFC member associations participated in the tournament. AFC Futsal Club Championship
The AFC Futsal Club Championship is the current highest Asian futsal club competition, hosted by the Asian Football Confederation. It is futsal equivalent to AFC Champions League. For the inaugural edition, AFC Futsal Committee decided to make it an invitational event, and each member association has been asked to nominate their national league champions for the tournament. History and format A trial edition, named 2006 Asia Futsal Cup, was run in 2006 with six teams participating. Iranian team Shensa Saveh beat Uzbek Ardus FC 5–1 in the final. The first recognised edition by the AFC was held in 2010 and ran with ten teams, forming two groups of five teams. The top two finishers then proceeded to the semi-finals. Since 2015 the final tournament is played with 12 teams. If more national league champions wish to enter a team, all but the top three finishers of the last tournament and the host nation, have to enter a qualification stage.
