Choi Hung
Choi Hung Estate () is a public housing estate in Ngau Chi Wan, Kowloon, Hong Kong. It was built by the former Hong Kong Housing Authority () and is now managed by the current Hong Kong Housing Authority (). It received a Silver Medal at the 1965 Hong Kong Institute of Architects Annual Awards. Location Choi Hung Estate is located in Ngau Chi Wan and is surrounded by several of eastern Kowloon Peninsula's major roads. To the north is Lung Cheung Road; to the south Prince Edward Road East; to the west Kwun Tong Bypass and to the east Clear Water Bay Road. History The Hong Kong government granted the land to the Hong Kong Housing Authority to build a large housing estate in 1958. The blocks of the estate were completed between 1962 and 1964. Ngau Chi Wan
Ngau Chi Wan was a bay beneath Hammer Hill in New Kowloon, Hong Kong. It now refers to an area where Choi Hung Estate is situated. Features Amidst in an urban built-up area, the original Ngau Chi Wan Village remains. St. Joseph's Home for the Aged is famous in the area and now under redevelopment. The cluster of Ngau Chi Wan Civic Centre, Ngau Chi Wan Municipal Services Building and Ngau Chi Wan Sports Centre serve the needs of neighbouring housing estates. Sam Shan Kwok Wong Temple () is located in Ngau Chi Wan, along Kwun Tong Road. “Sam Shan” refers to three famous mountains of Chaozhou in Guangdong , namely Du Shan , Ming Shan and Jin Shan. Loona 1/3 (commonly stylized as LOONA 1/3 or LOOΠΔ 1/3) is the first sub-unit of South Korean girl group Loona, formed through a pre-debut project titled ''"Girl of the Month"''. Kwun Tong Line
The Kwun Tong line is a heavy-rail rapid transit line of the MTR network in Hong Kong, coloured green on the MTR map. Starting at Whampoa in Hung Hom and ending at Tiu Keng Leng in Tseung Kwan O, Sai Kung, the route has 17 stations and takes 35 minutes to complete. The Kwun Tong line is one of the busiest railway lines on the network connecting the central and the eastern portions of Kowloon via Wong Tai Sin. The line is mostly underground, but includes a lengthy elevated section, and runs generally in an east-west direction. During the morning rush hour, the Kwun Tong line utilises 33 trains running at 2.1-minute-intervals to achieve a route capacity of 85,000 pphpd. Choi Hung () is a station on the Hong Kong MTR in Ngau Chi Wan. The station is named after the nearby Choi Hung Estate, a public housing estate. History Choi Hung station was opened when Modified Initial System opened on 1 October 1979. Choi Hung Estate Catholic Secondary School () is a boy's secondary school situated in Choi Hung Estate, Wong Tai Sin, Hong Kong. Established on 28 February 1965 by Roman Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong. Mission History 1960s School enrolled new students at Pui Shing Catholic Secondary School from March to August, and received them fees at Wong Tai Sin Catholic Primary School.
