Chobe (Botswana Constituency)
Chobe is a constituency in the Chobe District represented in the National Assembly of Botswana since 2014 by Machana Shamukuni a BDP MP and the current Minister of Justice of Botswana. Constituency profile The constituency was created in 2002 with the division of Maun/Chobe into three constituencies ( Maun West, Maun East and Chobe). Since its creation Chobe has mainly voted for BDP candidates, except in 2009, when it voted for the BCP. Single-member District
A single-member district is an electoral district represented by a single officeholder. It contrasts with a multi-member district, which is represented by multiple officeholders. Single-member districts are also sometimes called single-winner voting, winner-takes-all, or single-member constituencies.
