Chloe Greechan
Chloe May Greechan (born 22 September 2000) is a sportswoman from Jersey. She plays for the Jersey women's cricket team, for which she has been captain since 2020, and is the first woman from the island to take a five-wicket haul in WT20Is. Greechan is also a former world champion in indoor bowls. Cricket career Having represented Jersey since she was 13-years-old, Greechan played in the island's first officially recognised WT20I against neighbours Guernsey for the 2019 T20 Inter-Insular Cup on 31 May 2019. Batting at number six, she scored 4 not out in her side's innings before taking the new ball and sending down Jersey's first-ever WT20I delivery, going on to take one wicket for 20 runs in her four overs. All-rounder
An all-rounder is a cricketer who regularly performs well at both batting and bowling. Although all bowlers must bat and quite a handful of batsmen do bowl occasionally, most players are skilled in only one of the two disciplines and are considered specialists. Sunrisers are a women's cricket team that represent the London and East region, one of eight regional hubs in English domestic women's cricket. They play their home matches at various grounds, including the County Cricket Ground, Chelmsford. They are captained by Kelly Castle and coached by Andy Tennant. The Greechans
The Greechans are a family of bowls players from Jersey. Both Lindsey Greechan and Thomas Greechan, compete both indoor and outdoor, as does their daughter Chloe Greechan and son Taylor Greechan. Thomas, Lindsey and Helen (Thomas' late mother) are all British champions while Thomas, Lindsey and Chloe have all won the IIBC Championships on at least one occasion each. Lindsey, Thomas and Helen have also represented Jersey at the Commonwealth Games. Alison Merrien
Alison Jayne Merrien (born 28 November 1974) is an indoor bowls player from Saint Peter Port, Guernsey. Bowls career Indoors Merrien won double gold in the women's singles defeating Karen Murphy and the mixed pairs with Simon Skelton the 2011 World Indoor Bowls Championship. She won a third medal eight years later in 2019 losing out to Julie Forrest of Scotland in the final. In 2022, she finally claimed a third title when winning the mixed pairs with Paul Foster and also reached the women's singles final. In the southern hemisphere equivalent the World Cup Singles she has won two titles in 2008 and 2012 and has finished runner up on three more occasions. In 2022, Merrien won the mixed pairs at the inaugural World Bowls Indoor Championships, partnering Stewart Anderson, they defeated Michael Stepney and Claire Anderson in the final. Thomas Greechan (born 19 June 1976) is a Scottish born international lawn bowls player from Jersey. He became the British singles champion after winning the British Isles Bowls Championships in 2016. Bowls career World Championships Greechan has competed for Jersey at two World Bowls Championships in 2000 and 2012. Commonwealth Games He has represented Jersey at two Commonwealth Games; at the 2002 and the 2014 Commonwealth Games. St Saviour, Jersey
St Saviour (Jèrriais: ; ) is a parish of Jersey in the Channel Islands. It is located directly east of St Helier. It has a population of 13,580. Grainville Cricket Ground
Grainville Cricket Ground is a cricket ground in Saint Saviour, Jersey. History The first recorded match held on the ground came in 1988 when Jersey played the Hampshire Second XI. Jersey have used the ground since then and it has held a number of international tournaments, including matches in the 2008 World Cricket League Division Five which was won by Afghanistan, and more recently the 2010 European Cricket Championship Division One, which Jersey won.
