Chitralaya Gopu
Sadagopan (better known as Chitralaya Gopu) is an Indian screenwriter and director who works in the Tamil cinema. He has written nearly 60 films, and directed 27 of them. He scripted dramatic films such as ''Moondru Dheivangal'' and ''Shanti Nilayam'' and comedies such as ''Kadhalikka Neramillai'', ''Galatta Kalyanam'', ''Patti Sollai Thattathe'' and ''Uttharavindri Ulle Vaa''. Career C. V. Sridhar and Sadagopan were childhood friends since their schooldays in St. Joseph's High School, Chengalpattu. Both were playwrights; Sridhar wrote stage plays and played the hero while Sadagopan wrote the humorous parts and played the comedian. Later, when Sridhar had the opportunity to direct a film, he asked Sadagopan to join him and produce the comedy track. The New Indian Express
''The New Indian Express'' is an Indian English-language broadsheet daily newspaper published by the Chennai-based Express Publications. It was founded in 1932 as ''The Indian Express'', under the ownership of Chennai-based P. Varadarajulu Naidu. In 1991, following the death of owner Ramnath Goenka, his family split the group into two companies. Initially, the two groups shared the ''Indian Express'' title, as well as editorial and other resources. But on 13 August 1999, the northern editions, headquartered in Mumbai, retained the ''Indian Express'' moniker, while the southern editions became ''The New Indian Express''. Nenjirukkum Varai (1967 Film)
''Nenjirukkum Varai'' () is a 1967 Indian Tamil-language film, directed and produced by C. V. Sridhar. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, Muthuraman, Gopalakrishnan, K. R. Vijaya and Geetanjali. It revolves around a man struggling with poverty, falling in love with his house owner's daughter. Sridhar initially decided to make ''Nenjirukkum Varai'' as revolving around the theme of war between India and Pakistan; the story was dropped after Sridhar learnt that Lal Bahadur Shastri and Ayub Khan signed the Tashkent Declaration. Retaining the same title, he developed a new story inspired by the Bengali play ''Shudha'' (). The film was shot in black-and-white to emphasise the central theme of poverty, and none of the cast members applied make-up for their roles. ''Kasethan Kadavulada'' () is a 1972 Indian Tamil-language caper comedy film written and directed by Chitralaya Gopu. The film stars Muthuraman and Lakshmi, with M. R. R. Vasu, Thengai Srinivasan, Srikanth, Moorthy, Manorama, Rama Prabha and Jayakumari in supporting roles.
