''Chit Khae Tar A Mhan Par Pae'' ( my, ချစ်ခဲ့တာအမှန်ပါပဲ) is a 1958 Burmese drama film, directed by Shwe Baw, starring Myint Aung, Phoe Par Gyi and Kyi Kyi Htay. It was the first Burmese coloured feature motion picture with synchronized sound and was introduced to media on June 19, 1958 in Yangon. It was premiered to public on July 4, 1958 in Yangon. It was being released coloured feature motion picture but black and white films were made until early 1990s in Myanmar. Myint Aung (director)
Myint Aung ( my, မြင့်အောင် ; 1931 – 1996) was a Burma, Burmese film director and film actor. He was the father of famous actress Mo Mo Myint Aung. Biography Myint Aung was born to Daw Aye Nit and U Kyauk Kwe in Kawa in Bago Division in 1931. He founded Myint Aung Film Company in 1957. Some of his famous films he directed and acted in were ''Maung Yupa Yon'', and ''Zatlan Pa Ma''. Although his other famous films like ''Chit Nyima'' (1957), ''Mya Pan Wutyi'' (1957), ''Myitta Shwe Yi'' (1960) produced stars as well as Myanmar Academy Award winners, the award eluded the director himself. Phoe Par Gyi
Po Par Gyi ( my, ဖိုးပါကြီး, ; March 1917 – January 14, 1980) was a popular traditional Burmese opera performer and two-time Myanmar Academy Award winning actor known for his comic roles. Biography Po Par Gyi was born Nyunt Hlaing in Bassein, Irrawaddy Division (now Pathein, Ayeyarwady Region) to San Pe, a Customs Inspector and his wife Hla. He graduated from Hinthada Government High School in 1936. Pursuing his interest in singing and dancing, he got his first break in 1938 with a starring role in a silent film ''Lu Pyo Tho'' produced by the Rangoon Film Company. But he would achieve fame in traditional Burmese opera. During the Japanese occupation (1942–1945), he moved to Yangon and became an opera actor in Director Kyaw Aye's ''Ye Ye Khaw Daw'' Opera. He continued to gain success in opera after Burmese independence in 1948. His notable opera performances include ''Pyo Letsaung'', ''Nge Kyun Swe'', and ''Ko Kyait Ta Ko Loat''. Kyi Kyi Htay
Kyi Kyi Htay ( my, ကြည်ကြည်ဌေး, ; 19 March 1924 – 4 March 2000) was the first winning actress of the Myanmar Academy Award for the Best Female Artiste Award (now Best Actress Award) in 1952. Being a versatile actress in the golden Burmese film world, she was awarded the title ''Wunna Kyawhtin'' by the government. Early life Kyi Kyi Htay was born in a small town of Letbadan in Bago Division in Lower Burma to U Po Yin and Daw Ohn Kywe. She was the youngest among five siblings. Her original name was Ma Thein Kyin. Career Kyi Kyi Htay took part in Burmese traditional opera, Zat Thabin, since her childhood and became famous under the name Aung Mya Kyin, Auk Chin Ma and Marla Yi. She crossed over to films in 1952, and won her first Burmese Academy Award with her debut film Chit Thet-Wai. She won three more Academy Awards in 1956, 1970 and 1978.
