Chisago Lake Township is a township in Chisago County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 4,656 at the 2010 census, up from 3,276 in 2000. History Chisago Lake Township was organized in 1858. It took its name from nearby Chisago Lake. Geography The township is located in southern Chisago County, between Lent Township and Chisago City to the west, Shafer Township and Franconia Township to the east, Sunrise Township and Amador Township to the north, and the city of Scandia in Washington County to the south. The cities of Lindstrom and Center City are near the center of the township but administratively separate. U.S. Highway 8 crosses the township, leading east to St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin, and southwest to Forest Lake. Franconia Township is a township in Chisago County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 1,805 at the 2010 census, up from 1,128 in 2000. The township is home to the Franconia Sculpture Park. History Franconia Township was organized in 1858, and took its name from Franconia, Minnesota. Geography Franconia Township is located in the southeast corner of Chisago County, on the west side of the St. Croix River, which forms the Wisconsin–Minnesota border. Forest Lake is a city in Washington County, Minnesota, United States, located 27 miles northeast of Saint Paul. The population was 20,611 at the 2020 census. The 2021 population is 20,608. History Forest Lake began as a stop on the St. Paul and Duluth Railroad. The first train reached Forest Lake on December 23, 1868. The lake was so named for the abundant timber that lines its shores.
