Chiquinho Conde
Francisco Queriol Conde Júnior (born 22 November 1965), known as Chiquinho Conde, is a Mozambican former footballer who played as a striker, currently manager of Mozambique. Most of his extensive professional career was spent in Portugal, mainly with Vitória de Setúbal, also having a spell in the United States in 1997. Over the course of 13 seasons, he amassed Primeira Liga totals of 309 games and 85 goals. Conde represented Mozambique in three Africa Cup of Nations. In 2005, he started working as a coach. Playing career Born in Beira, Conde arrived in Portugal in the summer of 1987 from CD Maxaquene, and would remain in the country for the following decade, starting with C.F. Os Belenenses. Beira, Mozambique
Beira is the capital and largest city of Sofala Province, where the Pungwe River meets the Indian Ocean, in the central region of Mozambique. It is the fourth-largest city by population in Mozambique, after Maputo, Matola and Nampula. Beira had a population of 397,368 in 1997, which grew to 530,604 in 2019. The Primeira Liga (; English: Premier League, also written as Liga Portugal 1), also known as Liga Portugal Bwin for sponsorship reasons, is the top level of the Portuguese football league system. Organised and supervised by the Liga Portugal, it is contested by 18 teams since the 2014–15 season, with the three lowest placed teams relegated to the Liga Portugal 2 and replaced by the top-three non-reserve teams from this division. Manuel José Luís Bucuane (born 16 August 1973 in Lourenço Marques (now Maputo), best known as Tico-Tico, is a former Mozambican footballer. He played as a striker and last played for Desportivo de Maputo in Mozambique. Career In June 2000, Tico-Tico was signed by the Tampa Bay Mutiny after playing for Jomo Cosmos. Tico-Tico is his country's most capped player and record goal scorer. He is also the PSL's leading scorer of all-time with 108 goals. Dário Alberto Jesus Monteiro (born 27 February 1977), known simply as Dário, is a Mozambican retired footballer who played as a striker. He spent most of his professional career in Portugal, amassing Primeira Liga totals of 138 games and 35 goals over the course of seven seasons, mainly at the service of Académica. Towards the end of his career, he played two years in South Africa. Dário appeared with the Mozambique national team in two Africa Cup of Nations tournaments. The 1996 African Cup of Nations was the 20th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, the football championship of Africa ( CAF). It was hosted by South Africa, who replaced original hosts Kenya. 1999–2000 UEFA Cup
The 1999–2000 UEFA Cup season was the 29th edition of the UEFA Cup competition. The final took place at Parken Stadium in Copenhagen and was won by Galatasaray, who defeated Arsenal in the final. The game was scoreless through the first ninety minutes and stayed that way through thirty minutes of extra time. The match went on to penalty kicks in which Gheorghe Popescu scored the winning goal to win the cup. Galatasaray won the cup without losing a single game. The competition was marred by violence involving Turkish and English hooligans in the semi-finals and the final, in particular the fatal stabbings of Leeds United fans Kevin Speight and Christopher Loftus by Galatasaray fans in Istanbul.
