Chip Roy
Charles Eugene "Chip" Roy (born August 7, 1972) is an American attorney and politician serving as the U.S. representative for Texas's . A member of the Republican Party, Roy took office on January 3, 2019. Before his election to Congress, he served as chief of staff to Senator Ted Cruz and as first assistant attorney general of Texas. Early life and education Roy was born in Bethesda, Maryland, and raised in Lovettsville, Virginia. Growing up near the Potomac River, Roy was familiar with places linked to the early history of the United States. For one of his high school activities he reenacted John Brown's raid on Harper's Ferry. His parents, Don and Rhonda Roy, were conservatives who supported Ronald Reagan and helped shape Roy's political views. John Cornyn III ( ; born February 2, 1952) is an American politician and attorney serving as the senior United States senator from Texas, a seat he has held since 2002. A member of the Republican Party, he served as the Senate majority whip for the 114th and 115th Congresses, and previously served as chair of the National Republican Senatorial Committee from 2009 to 2013. Jamael Orondé "Rondé" Barber (born April 7, 1975) is an American former football cornerback who spent his entire 16-year professional career playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League (NFL).
