Ramola Devi Shah, better known as Chhinnalata (; 1923–2000) was a Nepalese writer and poetess. Kingdom Of Nepal
The Kingdom of Nepal ( ne, नेपाल अधिराज्य), also known as the Gorkha Empire ( ne, गोरखा अधिराज्य) or Asal Hindustan ( ne, असल हिन्दुस्तान)(), was a Hindu kingdom in South Asia, formed in 1768, by the unification of Nepal. Founded by King Prithvi Narayan Shah, a Gorkha monarch who claimed to be of Khas Thakuri origin, it existed for 240 years until the abolition of the Nepalese monarchy in 2008. Bir Hospital
Bir Hospital (बीर अस्पताल) is the oldest and one of the busiest hospitals in Nepal. It is located at the center of Kathmandu city. The hospital is run by the National Academy of Medical Sciences, a government agency since 2003. The hospital provides medical and surgical treatments. It current has a capacity of 535 beds. It provides some post graduate medical training e.g. general surgery, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, pathology etc. History Bir Hospital was established in 1947 B.S (1889AD) by Bir Shumsher Jang Bahadur Rana and was initially called Prithvi Bir Hospital, Prithvi being the name of the then king Prithvi Bir Bikram Shah. It had 30 beds. An ordinance for the Constitution of a Bir Hospital Development Board was formulated in November of 1957 and was waiting the King's approval. Prince Basundhara Bir Bikram Shah of Nepal, GCMG (25 November 1921 – 31 August 1977) was a son of King Tribhuvan of Nepal. Life Prince Basundhara was a son of King Tribhuvan and his second wife Queen Ishwari. The prince was educated under private tutors. Flamboyant and handsome, Prince Basundhara was, in his day, one of the most popular members of the Nepalese royal family. The prince was greatly interested in sports. From 1962 to 1975, he was the president of Nepal Olympic Committee; he also served as the president of Royal Nepal Golf Club, and, from 1961 to 1975, was the chairman of National Sports Council.
