Rongcheng, Shandong
Rongcheng () is a county-level city of the prefecture-level city of Weihai, at the eastern extremity of Shandong Province, China, looking out to the Yellow Sea in all directions but the west. History According to historical records, the First Emperor of the Qin dynasty had visited Rongcheng twice, building bridges and temples. In 1735, during the Qing dynasty, the Yongzheng Emperor gave Rongcheng its present name. Notable Events In June 2011, a mutiny and mass murder broke out on '' Lurongyu 2682'', a fishing trawler registered in Rongcheng. After a month-long killings in the West Pacific, 11 of the 33 crew returned. In July 2013, the Intermediate Court of Wendeng, adjacent to Rongcheng, convicted the 11 men with murder. Zichuan District
The Zichuan District () is one of eight divisions within the city of Zibo in the Chinese province of Shandong. As the largest district of Zibo, it is composed of an urban area of over 23 square kilometers, Zichuan Government , Retrieved on Oct.28,09. and 17 towns that administer vast rural areas, almost 1,000 square kilometers in total. Lucheng, Changzhi
Lucheng () is a District in Changzhi, in south-eastern Shanxi province of the People's Republic of China. As a division of Changzhi City, it covers an area of 615 km² and has a population of 210,000. Lucheng's economy is driven by coal industry and limestone mining. A village in Lucheng county, Zhangzhuangcun (张庄村, pinyin: Zhāngzhuāngcūn), sometimes translated as Long Bow Village, was made famous by the book ''Fanshen'' written by William H. Hinton. The book chronicles the changes Zhangzhuangcun underwent after the defeat of occupying Japanese forces by the communist Eighth Route Army and the ensuing land reform movement by the Chinese Communist Party during second Chinese civil war. Handan
Handan is a prefecture-level city located in the southwest of Hebei province, China. The southernmost prefecture-level city of the province, it borders Xingtai on the north, and the provinces of Shanxi on the west, Henan on the south and Shandong on the east. Guan County, Shandong
Guan County () is a county of western Shandong province, People's Republic of China, bordered by Hebei province to the west. It is administered by Liaocheng City. The population was in 1999. History As an isolated county, with relatively low education levels and a weak orthodox gentry, Guan long served as center for secret societies and heterodox sects.
