The China National Convention Center, previously known as the Olympic Green Convention Center () is a convention center located in the Olympic Green in Beijing. History It was designed by RMJM and was originally used for the 2008 Summer Olympics and 2008 Summer Paralympics, Paralympics. It covers an area of 270,000 square metres. It was one of the four principal buildings of the Olympic Green. Boccia at the 2008 Summer Paralympics consisted of seven events. The competitions were held in the Beijing National Convention Center from September 7 to September 12. Classification Boccia players were given a classification depending on the type and extent of their disability. The Beijing Olympic Games Bidding Committee unveiled the venue layout plan for the 2022 Winter Olympics on 20 February 2014; the plan was include the five ice events at the Olympic Green, the Capital Indoor Stadium and the Wukesong Sports Center, which were some of the main venues of the 2008 Summer Olympics. Competitions for luge, bobsleigh and alpine skiing were held at the Xiaohaituo Mountain Area, in a northwest of Beijing (in the West Dazhuangke village, of Zhangshanying in Yanqing District), away from the city centre of Beijing and away from the town of Yanqing. Venues Of The 2008 Summer Olympics
For the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, a total of thirty-seven venues were used. Events took place at eleven pre-existing venues, twelve new venues constructed for the Olympics, and eight temporary venues that were removed following the games. In addition, six venues outside Beijing hosted events, two of which were newly built for the Olympics. Beijing won its bid to host the 2008 Olympics on 13 July 2001. The first new venues to begin construction were the Beijing National Stadium, Beijing National Aquatics Center, Beijing Shooting Range Hall, and the Laoshan Velodrome, where major work commenced in December 2003. By May 2007, construction had begun at all of the Beijing venues for the games. Line 15 (Beijing Subway)
Line 15 of the Beijing Subway () is a rapid transit rail line in northern Beijing. Line 15's color is purple. The line has a total length of across northern Beijing from Qinghuadongluxikou in Haidian District in the west, to Fengbo in Shunyi District in the east. The line uses Sparcs CBTC system supplied by Nippon Signal. It cost ¥17.6 billion. The line features 6-car trains similar to other lines in the Beijing Subway. Tunnels of Line 15 are up to underground, making them the deepest in Beijing's subway system. Trains run every 2–3 minutes during the rush hour with some trains performing express services.
