Chilo Of Sparta
Chilon of Sparta ( grc, Χείλων) (fl. 6th century BC) was a Spartan and one of the Seven Sages of Greece. Life Chilon was the son of Damagetus, and lived towards the beginning of the 6th century BC. Herodotus speaks of him as contemporary with Hippocrates, the father of Peisistratus. Diogenes Laërtius states that he was an old man in the 52nd Olympiad (572 BC), and that he was elected an ephor (overseer) in Sparta in the 56th Olympiad (556/5 BC). Alcidamas states that he was a member of the Spartan assembly. Diogenes Laërtius even goes so far as to claim that Chilon was also the first person who introduced the custom of joining the ephors to the kings as their counselors.Diogenes Laërtius, i. 68-73 Chilon is said to have helped to overthrow the tyranny at Sicyon, which became a Spartan ally. Chilo, Ohio
Chilo or is a village in Clermont County, Ohio, United States, along the Ohio River. The population was 63 at the 2010 census. History Chilo was originally called Mechanicsburgh, and under the latter name was platted in 1816. A post office called Mechanicsburg was established in 1819. The village's name was changed to Chilo in 1820 by an act of the Ohio Legislature. By the 1830s, was home of boat building businesses, which swelled the population to several hundred. Chilo had more than thirty houses and two stores. The town was the site of Lock #34 on the Ohio River up until the 1960s, when nearby Meldahl Dam was built. . Palpi porrect (extended forward), clothes with rough hair, and extending from two and a half to three lengths of the head. Maxillary palp dilated with scales at extremity. Frons with a conical projection. Antennae minutely serrate and ciliated. Tibia with outer spurs about two-thirds length of inner. André Chilo (5 July 1898 – 3 November 1982) was a French rugby union player and athlete who competed in the 1920 Summer Olympics. Chilo Rachal (born March 15, 1986) is a former American football guard. He was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft. He played college football at Southern California. Early years He played high school football at Dominguez High School in Compton, where he was a 2003 Super Prep and Prep Star All-American his senior year. Regarded as a four-star recruit by ''Rivals.com'', Rachal was listed as the No. 12 offensive tackle prospect in the class of 2004. College career Rachal redshirted his freshman year at offensive guard and tackle in the 2004 season. In the 2005 season he appeared in all 13 games as a backup offensive guard and on special teams.
