Chilla Christ
Charles Percival "Chilla" Christ (10 June 1911 – 22 January 1998) was an Australian cricketer who played first-class cricket for Queensland from 1937 to 1947. Cricket career Chilla Christ (his family name rhymes with "mist") was a left-arm spin bowler who also bowled medium-pace later in his career. He was first chosen to play for Queensland against Victoria in 1930-31 when they were short of players, but the match was rained off, and he had to wait another seven years for his debut. His best figures were 5 for 47 and 2 for 56 against New South Wales in 1938–39. He was highly successful in the Brisbane competition. In March 1941, he took 8 for 28 and 9 for 33 for Western Suburbs against Valley. In 1942–43, captaining Western Suburbs, he set a Queensland Cricket Association record for the most wickets in a season, 107 at 8.79. In September 1945, he took 6 for 2 against Valley. Milton is a riverside inner suburb of the City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. In the , the population of Milton was 2,274 people. Wyandra, Queensland
Wyandra is a town and a locality in the Shire of Paroo, Queensland, Australia. In the , Wyandra had a population of 99 people. Geography The Warrego River flows from north to south through the locality. The Mitchell Highway also passes from north to south through the locality to the east and roughly parallel with the river. The town is in roughly the centre of the locality just to the east of the river and west of the highway, west of the state capital, Brisbane and north of Cunnamulla. History The town was originally named Claverton in July 1896, after the Claverton Downs pastoral run on the Warrego River, which was established about 1860. However, it was renamed Wyandra later in 1896. The town grew with the completion of the Western railway line from Charleville in 1897 and quickly became a centre for local grazing properties. Junction Park State School is a heritage-listed state school at 50 Waldheim Street, Annerley, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was built from 1909 to 1910 by the Queensland Department of Public Works and MR Hornibrook. It is also known as the former Thompson Estate State School. Valley District Cricket Club is a cricket club playing in the Bulls Masters premiership, the leading club cricket competition in Queensland, Australia. The New South Wales men's cricket team (formerly named NSW Blues) are an Australian men's professional first class cricket team based in Sydney, New South Wales.
