Chile Women's National Field Hockey Team
The Chile women's national field hockey team represents Chile in the international field hockey. The team is governed by the International Hockey Federation and the PAHF. The team is also known by the nickname Las Diablas, which translates to The Devils. It is controlled by the Chilean Hockey Federation. The team is currently ranked 14th in the FIH World Rankings, with 1430 points. History Hockey arrived in Chile in the middle of the 20th century. Chile's national team have had success at a continental level, but has never stemmed this worldwide. The team has never qualified for an Olympic Games, while they made their World Cup debut at the 2022 edition. The Chilean women's most successful year came in 2017, with their silver medal performance at the 2017 Pan American Cup. The Chilean Field Hockey Federation ( es, Federación Chilena de Hockey Sobre Césped), is the governing body of field hockey in Chile. Amstelveen () is a municipality in the province of North Holland, Netherlands with a population of 92.353 as of 2022. It is a suburban part of the Amsterdam metropolitan area. 2022 Women's Hockey World Cup
The 2022 Women's FIH Hockey World Cup was the 15th edition of the Women's FIH Hockey World Cup, the quadrennial world championship for women's national field hockey teams organized by the International Hockey Federation. It was held from 1 to 17 July 2022 at the Estadi Olímpic de Terrassa in Terrassa, Spain and at the Wagener Stadium in Amstelveen, the Netherlands. Defending champions the Netherlands won the tournament for a record ninth time after defeating Argentina 3–1 in the final. Australia won the third place match by defeating Germany 2–1. Women's Hockey Junior World Cup
The Women's FIH Hockey Junior World Cup, formerly known as the Women's Hockey Junior World Cup, is the field hockey Junior World Cup competition for women, with the format for qualification and the final tournament similar to the men's. It is organized by the International Hockey Federation (FIH) and has been played since 1989. The tournament features players who are under 21 years of age and is held once every two years. Four teams have dominated in past events. Netherlands is the most successful team, having won the tournament four times, this followed by Korea and Argentina. Germany have won the tournament once. Canada Women's National Field Hockey Team
The Canada women's national field hockey team participates in international field hockey competitions. In 1991, the Canadian men's and women's programs united under the national umbrella of Field Hockey Canada to share funding and infrastructure. The women's team made its first international appearance at the 1978 Women's Hockey World Cup in Madrid, Spain, finishing in fifth place. They were the runner-up at the 1983 Women's Hockey World Cup and the bronze medalists at the 1986 Women's Hockey World Cup. The Canadian women's team participated in the women's international tournament for the first time in 1956. In 1979 Canada hosted 18 countries in Vancouver for that world event; Canada placed 8th.
