Child Actor (band)
Child Actor is an American duo consisting of Max Heath and Natalie Plaza. History Child Actor was formed by cousins Max Heath and Sedgie Ogilvy. They released the ''Partner'' EP in February 2012 and the ''Window'' EP in July 2012. Their first album, ''Victory'', was released on Fake Four Inc. on October 16, 2012. Don Yates of KEXP-FM described the album as "an impressive set of maximalist, R&B-tinged electro-pop with a huge, lush sound featuring walls of glittering synths, hip hop-influenced rhythms, chopped samples, wispy vocals and sugary pop melodies." Alyce Currier of Earmilk said, "With more emotional staying power than a lot of music caught up in today's rapid release cycle, I think this one is a keeper." Ogilvy left Child Actor in December 2012 with Natalie Plaza taking her place. Child Actor released their sophomore album, ''Never Die'', in September 2014, followed by ''A Perfect Cloud'' in 2016. Background ''Component System with the Auto Reverse'' was named in reference to the shelf stereo system, a machine that was popular in the late twentieth century for allowing radio listeners to compile and record mixtapes. During his adolescence in the 1990s, Eagle made many such mixtapes out of music he heard on college radio stations in his native Chicago. Sage Gabriel Carlos Atreyu Elsesser (born January 31, 1997), also known as Navy Blue, is an American regular-footed skateboarder, rapper, record producer, visual artist, and model. Elsesser has been sponsored by several skater fashion brands including Converse and Supreme, as well as becoming a professional skater in 2014 through skater collective and clothing store Fucking Awesome. Chakeiya Camille Richmond (born 28 July 1992), known professionally as Keiyaa (stylized as KeiyaA), is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and a record producer. Regan Farquhar (born February 12, 1978), better known by his stage name Busdriver, is an American rapper and producer from Los Angeles, California. ''Glaciers'' is a studio album by American hip hop production duo Blue Sky Black Death. It was released by Fake Four Inc. in 2013. The chopped and screwed version of the album, titled ''Glaciers Melted'', was released in 2014. Production Most songs of the album have runtimes over 10 minutes; the idea derives from a 13-minute song the duo made back in 2012.
