Chiho Osawa
is a Japanese retired ice hockey player and former Captain (ice hockey), captain of the Japan women's national ice hockey team, Japanese national team. She most recently played in the 2020–21 SDHL season, 2020–21 season of the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL) with Luleå HF/MSSK. Osawa represented Japan at three Winter Olympic Games, eight IIHF Women's World Championships, two Asian Winter Games, and at the 2012 IIHF Women's Challenge Cup of Asia, 2012 IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia and the 2015 Winter Universiade. Playing career Osawa's first team was the club at her primary school. She joined Toyota Cygnus of the All-Japan Women's Ice Hockey Championship in 2004 while in junior high. Ice Hockey
Ice hockey (or simply hockey) is a team sport played on ice skates, usually on an ice skating rink with lines and markings specific to the sport. It belongs to a family of sports called hockey. Point (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, point has three contemporary meanings. Personal stat A point is awarded to a player for each goal scored or assist earned. The total number of goals plus assists equals total points. The Art Ross Trophy is awarded to the National Hockey League (NHL) player who leads the league in scoring points at the end of the regular season. Team stat Points are also awarded to assess standings (or rankings). Historically, teams were awarded two points for each win, one point for each tie and no points for a loss. T1EHL
The Tier 1 Elite Hockey League (T1EHL), formerly Midwest Elite Hockey League, is located primarily in the Midwest United States and is the premier amateur youth hockey league in the United States. Players from all over the country move to the area where the teams are located to gain exposure and skill development needed for higher levels. Many of the league's top players go on to compete at the Major Junior, NCAA, and NHL level. IIHF Women's World Championships
The IIHF World Women's Championship (WW or WWC), officially the IIHF Ice Hockey Women's World Championship, is the premier international tournament in women's ice hockey. It is governed by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). The official world competition was first held in 1990, with four more championships held in the 90s. From 1989 to 1996, and in years that there was no world tournament held, there were European Championships and in 1995 and 1996 a Pacific Rim Championship. Swedish Women's Hockey League
The Swedish Women's Hockey League ( sv, Svenska damhockeyligan), abbreviated SDHL, is the elite league for women's ice hockey in Sweden.
