Chiefdom Of Shuixi
Mu'ege ( Nasu: ; ) was a Nasu Yi chiefdom in modern Guizhou that existed from 300 to 1698. Since 1279, Mu'ege was conquered by the Yuan dynasty and became Chiefdom of Shuixi () under the Chinese ''tusi'' system. Shuixi was one of the most powerful clans in Southwestern China; the chiefdoms of Bozhou, Sizhou, Shuidong, and Shuixi are collectively called the "Four Great Native Chiefdoms of Guizhou" () in Chinese historiography. In 1698, it was fully annexed into the central bureaucratic system of the Qing dynasty. Origin According to Nasu Yi legend, they are descended from Dumuwu, whose three wives bore him six sons. Chiefdom Of Shuidong
Chiefdom of Shuidong (), ruled by the Song clan, was an autonomous ''Tusi'' chiefdom established by Song Jingyang () during the Song dynasty. After he conquered the Manzhou Prefecture (蠻州, centred on modern Kaiyang County) from the Yi people, Song Jingyang was recognized as the hereditary ruler of the region by the Song court in 975. Shuidong was one of the most powerful clans in Southwestern China; Bozhou, Sizhou, Shuixi and Shuidong were called "Four Great Native Chiefdom in Guizhou" () by Chinese. Shuidong joint the She-An Rebellion in 1623. After the rebellion was put down, Shuidong was annexed and ruled directly by Ming China. Shuixi
The Water Banquet (Chinese: , ''shǔixí'') is a Chinese set of dishes comprising eight cold and 16 warm dishes cooked in various broths, gravies, and juices. It is considered one of the "Three Wonders of Luoyang"—a former Chinese capital located in Henan—along with the peony and the Longmen Grottoes. It has a history going back more than 1,000 years and the residents of Luoyang often use the Water Banquet to treat important guests or for important celebrations. Zhenxiong County () is a county in the northeast of Yunnan province, China, under the administration of Zhaotong prefecture and bordering Guizhou and Sichuan. Ziqi
Ziqi () was a kingdom established by the ''Wuman'' (烏蠻, lit. "black barbarians", ancestors of Yi people) in southwestern China during the Song dynasty. The territory of Ziqi included parts of modern-day Guizhou, Guangxi and Yunnan provinces of China. Ziqi was originally one of 37 tribes of the Wuman people in eastern Yunnan. During the Tang dynasty, they were ruled by the Nanzhao Kingdom. The Nanzhao Kingdom collapsed in 937, and Yunnan entered a chaotic transitional period between the Nanzhao and Dali kingdoms. During this time, Wuman tribes split away from Yunnan and moved eastward. Among them, several small kingdoms were established, and Ziqi was the strongest one, gradually defeating others and controlling a large area between Yunnan and the Red River. Anshun
Anshun () is a prefecture-level city located in southwestern Guizhou province, southwest China, near the Huangguoshu Waterfall, the tallest in China. Bijie () is a prefecture-level city in northwestern Guizhou Province, China, bordering Sichuan to the north and Yunnan to the west.
