Chiconquiauhtzin
Chiconquiauhtzin (or Chiconquiauitl) was a ''tlatoani'' (king) of Tepanec ''altepetl'' (city-state) Azcapotzalco. He was likely a son of the king Matlacohuatl and queen Cuitlachtepetl. He ruled from 1222 to 1248 and married princess Xicomoyahual. Matlacohuatl was a ''tlatoani'' (king) of pre-Hispanic ''altepetl'' (city-state) Azcapotzalco (altepetl). He is also known as Maxtlacozcatl. His wife was Queen Cuitlachtepetl and he ruled 1152 to 1222. Tepanec
The Tepanecs or Tepaneca are a Mesoamerican people who arrived in the Valley of Mexico in the late 12th or early 13th centuries.The dates vary by source, including 1152 CE in Anales de Tlatelolco, 1210 from Chimalpahin, and 1226 from Ixtlilxochitl (as interpreted by Smith, p. 169). The Tepanec were a sister culture of the Aztecs (or Mexica) as well as the Acolhua and others—these tribes spoke the Nahuatl language and shared the same general pantheon, with local and tribal variations. Azcapotzalco
Azcapotzalco ( nci, Āzcapōtzalco , , from ''wikt:azcapotzalli, āzcapōtzalli'' “anthill” + ''wikt:-co, -co'' “place”; literally, “In the place of the anthills”) is a Boroughs of Mexico City, borough (''demarcación territorial'') in Mexico City. Azcapotzalco is in the northwestern part of Mexico City. The town began in the pre-Hispanic era and was the seat of the Tepanec dominion until the Aztec Triple Alliance overthrew it. After that it was a rural farming area becoming part of the Federal District of Mexico City in the mid-19th century. In the 20th century the area was engulfed by the urban sprawl of Mexico City. Acolnahuacatl (also Aculnahuacatl, Acolnahuacatzin) was a king of the Tepanec city of Azcapotzalco. He was likely a son of the king Xiuhtlatonac. He married princess Cuetlaxochitzin, daughter of king Xolotl. Their son was the famous king Tezozomoc. According to the historian Chimalpain, Acolnahuacatl ruled from 1302 to 1366 and Tezozomoc from 1367 to 1426. Some contemporary historians placed Acolnahuacatl's death and Tezozómoc's rise in 1371.
