Chicagoland Golf
''Chicagoland Golf'' is an independent regional golf newspaper serving the public golfers in Northern Illinois, Southeast Wisconsin and Northeast Indiana since 1989, when it was founded by the journalist Phil Kosin, who died in 2009. ''Chicagoland Golf'' is published in the United States 7 times per year by Chicagoland Golf Media, Inc. and covers recreational/amateur golf from Juniors, High School, College and Professional local golf. Distribution is through golf courses and golf retailers and is complimentary. It appears once in March/April, May, June, July, August, September and Fall/October. Val Russell relaunched the paper as "Chicago Area Golf" in the spring of 2010, publishing six issues in 2010 and seven issues, as shown above, each year since. English Language

Phil Kosin
Phil Kosin (born August 1950 – August 10, 2009) was an American journalist, columnist, radio host, commentator, blogger and newspaper publisher from Chicago. In 1989 he founded the ''Chicagoland Golf'' newspaper, serving as its editor and publisher until his death. Beginning to write professionally about sports while 14, still in high school and playing them, he became a full-time journalist while in college. From 1975, he started covering golf and had worked in many national magazines. From 1980-1988, he reported on all Chicago sports and teams, and hosted "magazine" shows on two radio stations. Since 1992, he hosted the seasonal ''Chicagoland Golf Show,'' a talk radio program on CBS Radio-owned WSCR SportsRadio 670 in Chicago. He also covered Midwest events for '' Boxing Digest.'' Jack Berry (journalist)
John Thomas Berry (born October 7, 1931) is an American Sports journalism, sports journalist. A native of Detroit, he graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in journalism, and wrote for the school's student newspaper, ''The State News''. He was a correspondent for United Press International at the bureau in Lansing, Michigan, before working on the sports staff of the ''Detroit Free Press''. He served as president of the Professional Hockey Writers' Association in 1971, then worked at ''The Detroit News'' from 1971 to 1993. As a golf correspondent and author of the "Golf Page", he covered more than 70 major golf championships during his career.
