Chicago Storm (soccer)
The Chicago Storm was an indoor soccer team in the Major Indoor Soccer League from 2004 to 2008 and the Xtreme Soccer League in 2009. The team folded after playing in a local indoor league, the Ultimate Soccer League. History The Storm played home games during its first two seasons at the UIC Pavilion on the West Side of Chicago. Former Chicago Sting and Chicago Fire soccer great Frank Klopas coached the team during its first two seasons, and Ted Chronopoulos captained the team for their inaugural 2004 season. Chicago Sting leading scorer Karl-Heinz Granitza worked for the club's front office in 2005. In 2005–06, the Storm started the season with a 2–6 record but improved over the second half of the season to make the play-offs. With attendance an issue, the team moved its home games to the newly built Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, a northwest suburb of Chicago, for the 2006–07 season. Branko Savić
Branko Savić (; born 8 August 1972) is a Serbian football manager and former player. Playing career Savić started his senior career with Dinamo Pančevo, before moving to Proleter Zrenjanin in 1994. He was transferred to Partizan in the summer of 1997, alongside his teammate Milan Stojanoski. The duo would move to Israeli club Beitar Jerusalem in the summer of 2000, before returning to Partizan the next season. During his second spell with the ''Crno-beli'', Savić helped the team qualify for the 2003–04 UEFA Champions League. He appeared in all six group stage matches. In 2004, Savić moved abroad for the second time by joining Chinese club Liaoning Zhongyu. After returning to his homeland, Savić played for his former club Proleter Zrenjanin, Budućnost Banatski Dvor, as well as for newly formed Banat Zrenjanin. Roberto Moreira Linck Junior (born 31 July 1988 in Cachoeira do Sul), nicknamed Betu, is a Brazilian-born American association football, footballer and filmmaker. He is the owner of Linck Group and Miami Dade FC. Youth and college Linck grew up playing in the youth system of Gremio in Brazil, before moving to United States. Babiker Awadalla ( ar, بابكر عوض الله; 2 March 1917 – 17 January 2019) was a Sudanese Arab nationalist politician who was Prime Minister of Sudan from 25 May 1969 to 27 October 1969. Early life and education Awadalla was born in the White Nile State on 2 March 1917. In 1940, he graduated from the Gordon Memorial College law school. Career Awadalla held the position of Speaker of the lower house of the Sudanese legislature from 1954 to 1957. In 1964, he provided the drive to start the October Revolution by siding against the military in charge of Sudan. After the revolution, he became Sudan's Chief Justice in 1964.
