Chiara Cainero
Chiara Cainero (born 24 March 1978) is an Italian sport shooter who won a gold medal in Skeet at the 2008 Summer Olympics. At the age of 41 she qualified for the Tokyo Olympics 2020. Biography Cainero has competed at three Olympic Games, becoming the first Italian woman to win gold in skeet shooting at the Beijing Olympics. She has also won a silver and a bronze medal at the ISSF world championships. European Shooting Championships
The European Shooting Championships are the global sport shooting European championships as regards the disciplines of the sport shooting of the rifle (25, 50 and 300 m) and the pistol (25 and 50 m). Sometimes the competition also includes trap shooting, skeet and running target shooting events, usually organized in special championships. The championships are by the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) in collaboration with the European Shooting Confederation (ESC). The first edition of the championships took place in 1955 in Bucharest. It takes place biennially, but every year 2-4 special championships held for European countries in separate shooting disciplines. Shooting competitions at the 2015 European Games in Baku were held from 13 to 19 June 2015 at the Baku Shooting centre. Nineteen events were in the program with 330 athletes participating. The programme featured several non-Olympic Mixed team events. The winners of the fifteen Olympic events automatically qualified to the 2016 Summer Olympics. Qualification The bulk (295 from 330) of qualification quota places were awarded based on European rankings as of 31 December 2014. The quota places were for athletes who were among: - 33 top-ranked in Men's Trap and Skeet; - 30 top-ranked in all individual Pistol and Rifle events of either gender; - 18 top-ranked in Women's Trap and Skeet, and Men's Double Trap. Shooting competitions at the 2019 European Games in Minsk were held between 22 and 28 June 2019. A total of 19 events were contested. The winner in each of the 12 individual events contained a quota place for the 2020 Summer Olympics.
