The 2013 Mediterranean Games ( tr, 2013 Akdeniz Oyunları), officially known as the XVII Mediterranean Games ( tr, XVII Akdeniz Oyunları) and commonly known as Mersin 2013, was an international multi-sport event held from 20 to 30 June 2013 in Mersin, Turkey. Mersin was announced as the host city at the General Assembly of the International Committee of Mediterranean Games (CIJM) on 23 February 2011. Raphaela Boaheng Lukudo (born 29 July 1994) is an Italian sprinter specialized in the 400 m, who won four medals at international senior level with Italian national track relay team of the 4×400 m relay. Biography Born in Aversa, Italy to Sudanese parents, she moved to Modena at the age of two. In 2006, she started to practice athletics with ''Mollificio Modenese Cittadella'' under the guidance of Mario Romano. She took part in the 2011 World Youth Championships in Athletics, for her first time with the Italy national athletics team, in Lille conquering the 400-meter semi-final despite an injury close to the competition. Ayomide Temilade Oluwatoyosi Folorunso (born 17 October 1996) is an Italian athlete specialising in the 400 metres hurdles. She competed in the 4 × 400 metres relay at the 2015 World Championships in Beijing. Biography Her family is originally from Nigeria, but since 2004 Ayomide has settled with her parents, mother Mariam and father Emmanuel, a mining geologist, in Fidenza. Libania Grenot Martinez (born 12 July 1983) is a Cuban-born Italian former athlete specialising in the 400 metres. Two times European champion (2014, 2016), she holds the Italian records in the 200 and 400 metres. Biography Born in Santiago de Cuba on 12 July 1983, Grenot started running at the age of 9. In 2003-05, she was a Cuban champion in the 400 metres. In 2006, she married an Italian man and relocated to Casal Palocco, a XXXIV zone of Rome.
