Chiang Rai City Football Club (Thai: สโมสรฟุตบอลเชียงรายซิตี้) is a Thai professional football club based in Chiang Rai Province, a city located in the very northern part of Thailand. The club currently plays in Thai League 3 Northern Region. History In 2022, Chiangrai City competed in the Thai League 3 for the 2022–23 season. It is their 13th season in the professional league. The club started the season with a 1–2 away defeat to Kamphaengphet and they ended the season with a 5–1 home win over Kamphaengphet. The club has finished 8th place in the league of the Northern region. Boon Rawd Brewery ( th, บริษัท บุญรอดบริวเวอรี่ จำกัด) is a well-known Thai brewery founded in 1933 by Phraya Bhirom Bhakdi (Boonrawd Sreshthaputra). It also produces soft drinks and bottled drinking water. Their best-known product is the pale lager Singha. History Boon Rawd Brewery was the first to open in Thailand and produces its beer under the brand name of Singha. It was founded in the early 1930s by Boonrawd Sreshthaputra, who had received the title of Phraya Bhirom Bhakdi from HM King Prajadhipok. The brewery remains under the management of his descendants, who use Bhirom Bhakdi as their family name. The Singha is an Asian lion, but in both Hindu and Thai traditional tales, it is a powerful mythological creature. It was chosen because it is an easily recognizable symbol. 2020–21 Thai League 3 Northern Region
The 2020–21 Thai League 3 Northern region is a region in the regional stage of the 2020–21 Thai League 3. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the season must be postponed to start in late 2020 and end in early 2021. In addition, the Thai League 4 had combined with the Thai League 3 and compete as Thai League 3 since this season and there is no relegation in this season. A total of 11 teams located in Northern, Upper western, and Upper central of Thailand will compete in the league of the Northern region. In late December 2020, COVID-19 had spread again in Thailand, the FA Thailand must abruptly end the regional stage of the Thai League 3. The 2019 Thai League Cup is the 10th season in the second era of a Thailand's knockout football competition. All games are played as a single match. It was sponsored by Toyota, and known as the Toyota League Cup ( th, โตโยต้า ลีกคัพ) for sponsorship purposes. 83 clubs were accepted into the tournament, and it began with the first qualification round on 23 February 2019, and concluded with the final on 28 September 2019. The 2019 Thai FA Cup is the 26th season of a Thailand's knockout football competition. It was sponsored by Chang, and known as the Chang FA Cup ( th, ช้าง เอฟเอคัพ) for sponsorship purposes.
