Chiang Mai Football Club ( Thai: สโมสรฟุตบอลจังหวัดเชียงใหม่), formerly known as Chiang Mai United F.C., is a Thai professional football club based in Chiang Mai province, a province located in the northern part of Thailand. The club plays in Thai League 2. Their main home ground at Chiang Mai Municipality Stadium. History Based on the website Thai-Fussball.com, Chiangmai Football Club was founded in 1999 and played in Thailand Provincial League until 2007. In 2009 the club was restructured. They were given a new badge, new management, new nickname "Lanna Tigers" the club finished 9th in the Regional League Northern Region just to win it a year later. It qualified Chiang Mai Football Club to participate in the play-offs which they mastered successfully. But the first-ever adventure in the Thai Division 1 League in 2011 lasted only one season. 2011 Thai Division 1 League
2011 Thai League Division 1 is the 14th season of the League since its establishment in 1997. It is the feeder league for the Thai Premier League. A total of 18 teams will compete in the league. League expansion It was announced at the end of the 2010 season that the TPL would increase the number of teams for the start of the 2011 Thai Premier League season. Therefore, playoff games were arranged to promote more teams for the Regional League Division 2 and relegate less teams from the TPL. During these games, Nakhon Pathom were banned and therefore will fail to take their place in Division 1 for the next two seasons. This did mean that the league would only feature 17 teams for the season, but with less than 3 weeks before the start of the league campaign another round of playoffs was used to promote one more side, Saraburi. 2010 Regional League Division 2 Northern Region is the second season of the League competition since its establishment in 2009. It is in the third tier of the Thai football league system. The Thai FA Cup 2009 ( th, มูลนิธิไทยคม เอฟเอคัพ) was the 16th season of Thailand knockout football competition. The competition started on 27 June 2009 and concluded with the Final on 21 October 2009. It was the first time the competition was held in 8 years. Thailand Division 2 League
Thai League 4 ( th, ไทยลีก 4), commonly known as the T4, was the fourth level association football league in Thailand. In 2009, it was divided into five groups by geographic region. Each group contained 16 clubs except for the Southern Region group which contained 13 clubs. It was sponsored by Advanced Info Service, AIS and therefore officially known as the AIS Regional League Division 2. In 2016, Khor Royal Cup became a trophy for Regional League Division 2.
