Chhutir Ghonta
''Chhutir Ghonta'' ( bn, ছুটির ঘণ্টা '' When The Bell Rang'') is a 1980 Bangladeshi drama film written and directed by Azizur Rahman. It stars Razzak, Shabana, Sujata and Sumon in the lead. It is based on the true story of a twelve-year-old school boy named Khokon in Bangladesh, who starved to death after the washroom he was in was mistakenly closed by the caretaker the day before the Muslim vacation Eid-ul-Azha started. The boy was found dead after the vacation was over. Plot The film opens up at a mental asylum. At the beginning of the day, a man starts ringing a bell which infuriates one of the patients Abbas Mia. After he gets injured by a guard for yelling(in an effort to stop the ringing), he gets healed by a doctor who asks him why he yells every time the bell rings. Azizur Rahman (10 October 1939 – 14 March 2022) was a Bangladeshi film director. His directorial debut was the 1967 film, ''Saiful Mulk Badiuzzamal''. Personal life On 14 March 2022, Rahman died of a heart attack at Lakeridge Health Ajax Pickering Hospital in Toronto, Canada. Abu Taher Mohammad Shamsuzzaman ( bn, আবু তাহের মোহাম্মদ শামসুজ্জ়ামান; 10 September 1941 – 20 February 2021), better known as known as ATM Shamsuzzaman, was a Bangladeshi film and television actor, director and screen-playwright. Jewel Aich (born ) is a Bangladeshi magician and bansuri player. He is a veteran of the 1971 Bangladesh liberation war that culminated in the birth of his country. Personal life Aich was born in Barisal District, a southern district of Bangladesh. He was the fifth of nine children born to businessman Bijoy Kumar (B.K.) Aich and homemaker Saraju Aich.
