Chhotolok is Bengali crime thriller drama web series starring Indrani Haldar, Daminee Benny Basu, Gaurav Chakrabarty, Priyanka Sarkar, Ushashi Ray, Pratik Dutta and Ushasie Chakraborty. It was created and directed by Indranil Roychowdhury. It is also the director's first web series. Plot Desperate to come out of a failing marriage, a married man gets into a whirlwind affair with a glamorous woman who has a criminal past, but ends up as the prime accused when she is murdered. The case falls into a timid but determined cop who unearths a deep buried scandal about the man's family involving his politically affiliated mother. Gaurav Chakrabarty is an Indian Bengali film and television actor best known for his portrayal of the character Prodipto Lahiri in the Bengali musical TV series ''Gaaner Oparey'' that aired on Star Jalsha from 28 June 2010 to 16 April 2011. Chakrabarty is also known for acting in the Bengali classic periodic thriller TV series ''Byomkesh'' (2014-2015), where he played the role of iconic Bengali detective Byomkesh Bakshi. Indrani Haldar is an Indian actress who is mostly known for her work in Bengali cinema. She was conferred with a National Award, three BFJA Awards and two Anandalok Awards. Halder made her debut in 1986 with the Bengali TV series ''Tero Parbon'' directed by Jochon Dastidar. She made her big screen debut opposite Prosenjit Chatterjee in ''Mandira'' (1990). She has appeared in numerous films, telefilms and TV series and hit the pinnacle of her career with the Bengali TV series ''Goyenda Ginni''.
