Chhattisgarh Rajyotsava
1 November of every year is celebrated as Chhattisgarh Rajyotsava (Chhattisgarh Foundation Day) as on this date in the year 2000 Government of India officially declared it to be an independent state. The mythological name of Chhattisgarh is Kaushal Rajya (the mother of Lord Shri Ram). The President of India gave his consent to Madhya Pradesh Reorganisation Act 2000 on 25 August and then Government of India set 1 November 2000 as the day Madhya Pradesh would be divided into Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. Since then, the state government organises 5 days festival starting 1 November of every year in the capital of Chhattisgarh, Raipur. The first event was organised at Science College, Raipur & First Chief Guest was Sonia Gandhi but from 2004 the event took place at Rajyotsava Ground, Atal Nagar till 2018 & from 2019 again it organised at Science College, Raipur to till now. Sonia Gandhi
Sonia Gandhi ('' née'' Maino; born 9 December 1946) is an Indian politician. Naya Raipur
Naya Raipur, officially known as Atal Nagar-Nava Raipur, is a planned city and fully Greenfield city in Indian state of Chhattisgarh. It is planned to replace Raipur as the capital city of Chhattisgarh. The Government of Chhattisgarh, the state's administrative body is situated here. The city is located between National Highway 53 and National Highway 30, about 17 km south-east of the capital city Raipur. Swami Vivekananda Airport separates Raipur and Nava Raipur. Nava Raipur Development Authority After the formation of the new state of Chhattisgarh in November 2000, the state government decided to create a well planned new city for Raipur. Hence a special area has been notified under section 64 of Nagar Tatha Gramnivesh Adhiniyam 1973. Pranab Mukherjee
Dr. Pranab Mukherjee (11 December 193531 August 2020) was an Indian politician and statesman who served as the 13th president of India from 2012 until 2017. In a political career spanning five decades, Mukherjee was a senior leader in the Indian National Congress and occupied several ministerial portfolios in the Government of India. Prior to his election as President, Mukherjee was Union Finance Minister from 2009 to 2012. Krishnakumar Kunnath (23 August 1968 – 31 May 2022), popularly known as KK, was an Indian playback singer.
